What's done? It's 4:29PM eastern time, I'm in Ohio, I'm done for the day. By the way, I just posted a couple Athletic articles in my forums blog. You're welcome!! It's not for commenting BTW, it's just for reading... - LeftCoaster
Losing faith in management that they have included a 3lc and a slow goal scoring winger in 2 out of 3 interviews |

Maybe they know more than you, or they just thought they were sexy? |

Nate Danielson is bigger and faster than Bo with a more well rounded game in their draft years. Nate led his team in scoring with 76 points in 63 games while Bo managed 61 points in 67 games on a stacked London team. Perhaps Nate can be more than a 3C LOL. I’m not saying they should draft the kid I’m just saying it’s pretty stupid calling him a “3C” |

Besides if he is training with Hank Sedin he will become a 2.5 center in no time at all.

He will learn to get all that unsportsmanlike grit out of his game in no time |

It's what he's projected as, not what he'll eventually be, I tend to agree with whichever poster said that in the first round pick the player that has the highest ceiling and do your best to develop them to that level rather than pick the one with the highest floor because generally those players are the "bottom/middle 6, middle pair/bottom pair" type players. If you don't have a top 5 (top 10 in a deep draft like this one) pick, swing for the f-ing fences, that's how you get the Erickson-Ek's, Mason Marchment, and Pasternak's of the world. |

“BPA” always means small undersized winger or dman as those are the players that drop come draft day. It’s why Benson will be there at 11. If we keep drafting small, skilled wingers we won’t have much balance.
Also, all things being relatively equal, a prospect that has some size and plays a premium position will inevitably be a more valuable asset. For me it’s either a defensmen with size this draft or a center. If they are high on Wood that would likely be the only winger that I’d be ok with given his ceiling is massive if he hits |

Centers or defense, build with that!! I know Eichel is a great player, and a second overall pick, but Vegas has largely been successful without an elite type of center. Depth is key, the Canucks need more of it.
I don’t know anything about these kids, fleeting information, but the Canucks have an elite center, they need people who can defend and defense. |

So is Michael McLeod who I've heard is a very good junior comparable from what I've heard. Not too mention most just talk about how great their favorite prospect is me as well but once they are drafted and start playing, the flaws of the player that were never there seem to come out. |

Some don't seem to understand that everything isn't set in stone when projecting just gives a good basis. They are projected that way by from what scouts have seen mostly. |

Which tiny winger are you pining for this year? |

A 6'2 RHC who is not Swedish, projected as a 3C with a ceiling to be a 2.5C, I say what are you waiting for. |

I know nothing about the prospects TBH, I am just here for the cheap beer and Trannys.
If I am serious I am looking forward to see what they do whether they do it by trade or draft. The real season starts in a few days. |

I’ve read high-end 2C and top out at a 1C. Projections are wide and varied though. There are so many factors that play into how good a 17 year old kid will become at the NHL level. Unless you’re extremely talented, your talent level is only a part of that because there’s a lot of people who are very good hockey players but they don’t fit into a certain situation. Look at William Karlsson on Vegas, 23/24 year old with a career high 9 goals, gets picked by Vegas and is given a role way over and above what he’s ever been given and he scores 43 goals. He might win the Conn Smythe this year. |

I always find the draft and early free agent season the highlight of the year. Guess that’s because I’m a Canucks fan and there is only pain from October to may 🤷♂️ |

💯. Who the (frank) knows how a 17 year old will progress into their 20’s. It’s half talent/ natural tools and the rest is desire. Obviously opportunity, professional development and a bit of luck are also factors |
