Bobrovsky and Tkachuk, that’s the story, but it was a good one. They’ve got no gas or fight left though. Vegas just built too deep of a team. They’re so good they don’t even need a regular NHL goalie. - LeftCoaster
It’s as you said. Though that 2-0 goal broke Panthers. They had to keep it close and how it went in and counted showed them no breaks for them tonight. Funny no one is talking about it or reviewing it just that it went in. The short life 2-1 goal felt like the last punch back before collapsing. I don’t know if I can last another period imagine how Panthers feel they just don’t have the horses to mount anything. |

Like Swedes. - VanHockeyGuy
I don’t know, I’ve seen some absolutely great Swedes win the Cup and not be passive. Henrik Zetterberg, Peter Forsberg and Bob Nystrom were pretty great players. |

Be interesting to see next year if all the injuries they've inevitably piled up getting there has them dip a bit like Colorado with the dreaded "Cup Hangover" or if they pull a Tampa Bay and don't miss a beat. Clearly they're the class of the West if not the league seeing as the Bruins broke records and were up 3 games to 1 in the first round then got swept by a Florida team that literally got a second wind thanks to the Penguins losing a game against Chicago that Chicago really didn't want to win. - DariusKnight
They’ve been knocking at the door for six years, I think they’ve got a few in them. Their go-to guys are in that veteran age group, but not too old, where teams tend to win Cups. |

One positive is we may have a better d core than Florida and they made the cup - CanuckDon
But the negative is that our forward group is waaay bigger pussies than Florida’s. Canucks definitely aren’t built for the playoffs. Hell, they aren’t even gritty enough to play stretch hockey. |

Wow, Marchessault wins the Conn Smythe... guess they wanted an original to be the winner rather than Eichel or someone who came after the expansion draft. |

It was him or Eichel, well deserved, good for him.
PS: he was a throw-in by Talon for Vegas agreeing to take Riley Smith |

No doubt, he proved all the haters wrong, the fact that he won versus the team that gave up on him has to be doubly sweet. |

Did they get help? Debateable, the call they got in Game 4 for sure was the wrong call, but they would have won regardless. I only saw one instance where maybe they got the better end of the benefit of the doubt on the 2-0 goal where the whistle blew just as the puck gets poked into the net and counted. |

Cap Friendly
“The first buyout window officially begins on Friday June 16th (opens 48h after the playoffs end), and ends on June 30th.
There is no limit to the number of buyouts a team can perform.” |

Things leaned their way but it was also what the NHL wanted from being first Pro league in Vegas expansion. They got the golden run to SCF in first season and now a Cup powerhouse.
Hey the Pacific has a Cup winner aren’t the Canucks so lucky to be in it lol.
