He can score a bit, but he is PAINFULLY soft. Not sure I care much if he goes or stays, I just cannot comprehend how someone can play pro hockey and not hit, backcheck, defend, have an edge, etc.

Dangle's podcast video seemed to suggest that there was a last minute "power play" in the contract that would've given Dubas more autonomy for hockey decisions, which would've basically cost Shanny his job, so he deep-six'ed Dubas instead.

If Dubas had to run everything up the flagpole to Shanny, why doesn't Shanny just pull a Dougie Armstrong and be President/GM, and keep the current Assistant GM staff?

2 games is like being suspended for the rest of the year/playoffs considering what position his team is in....and Stone is not injured, helps keep his suspension at 2 games. If Stone was seriously injured (concussion)...he would be gone longer.

We've complained ad nauseum about the lack of consistency and awareness from the DOPS from Brian Burke, Colin Campbell, through Brendan Shanahan, Stephane Quintal - although I will sincerely say that under both Burke and Shanahan you felt that there was communication, even if you disagreed with their consistency or assessment of severity.

This group under Parros has been often invisible, incredibly inconsistent, at times vindictive, and frighteningly unaware of the safety of the players in the wake of their decisions.

Whether it's him or his dumb boss, this DOPS group is a travesty.

I don't understand this. It isn't "tough" to crosscheck somebody on the ground in the neck while knowing you're doing it. Did you watch the clip? Even in the 90's, this would have been embarrassing and Mike Grier or Tie Domi would have shown up outside his house to cut his Richard off.

I find it highly amusing that the major anti Nylanderites are now putting all their chips on trade Nylander because they think they can save face if they are right probably hoping to say "told ya".

Yeah, they don’t have to trade anybody. If there’s a really good Marner or Nylander deal that improves the team, pull the trigger. If not, use the cap space available this summer to upgrade where you can.
