Player / coach like anderson
It’s 1 year. With a team that has a lot of cap space.
Literally no down side.
Unless those Sabres fans hoping for Brett Murray …. The savior of the 4th line |

Fine if he plays 26 games even if he's healthy, but he won't, he'll be out there for 75 games playing almost 15 minutes a night. Also, 14:40 is not a 4th liner's minutes. The almost 13 he played at even strength is still too much. 9 minutes is more in line with an old 4th liner.
Ryan Lomberg, who'd I'd take over Okposo any day of the week, played only 11 minutes a night at evens.
Okposo still wants to be part of the team? Give him the Roy Kent; put him in a suit behind the bench where he belongs. It's time to pass the torch and let the kids play to see what's what. |

Okposo 1 year, $2.5
Whelp, good for him

I feel like this is a terrible sign unless they’re trading some solid prospects and are going to need depth |

Why are you soo certain krebs is a keeper?
He is an undersized project player on a team that has that in spades.
He has yet to find his stride and has been relegated to playing with role players.
He can cover a ton of ice but what good is all the speed when you often give the puck away.
I guess my point is to ask if we can maybe put krebs in the not sure pile instead of the keeper pile?

Yes so I can watch Okposo flube passes from Krebs. Yes No downside other than watching him miss opportunities. |

Interesting note at the bottom:
>>>> 3. Noah Ostlund, the Sabres’ second first-rounder in the 2022 NHL Draft, traveled back to Sweden after spending some time with the Amerks during their playoff run. He is rehabbing a foot injury he sustained during the season and wanted to return home to finish his rehab there. |

The 2nd worst signing in the history of the Sabres. Almost as bad as the first time they signed him.

Well what is Rousek thinking now, does he think he's blocked, especially with Greenway there to ? |

I would say no.
Thought what CapFriendly had for the lines was interesting:
- Tage, Skinner, Tuch
- Cozens, Mittelstadt, Quinn
- Krebs, Greenway, Peterka
- Okposo
Openings available on the 4th line, assuming Olofsson is traded, which is maybe an assumption we shouldn't necessarily make. |

Just so it’s on record I’m absolutely fine bringing Okposo back
No qualms - sbroads24
Most of us knew it was coming. The money is a bit high but within the cap of the team it's irrelevant. He's still defensively responsible so as long as that continues, it's not a waste of a roster spot. |

I don't really get all the outrage in bringing Okposo back.
He's the captain of the team and a defensively responsible 4th line player at this point in his career.
How many teams let their captain walk in this situation if he's still got some gas in the tank? Zero.
The price is a little higher than what I was hoping for, but the move is a no-brainer by Adams. |

Pretty sure you're joking. Sabres were applauded around the league (and here) When they scooped him up in FA. |

This is not a joke. 2.5 mil on a player who is a good man in the room. Make him the coach then and use the 2.5 on a player.
Also, why the rush to sign him? Don't tell me there were other teams interested. |
