If the escrow was paid off this season, it would've gone up more.

It is expected to be paid off by the end of next season.

That's a big part of why it has only gone up marginally.

I can totally see OP signing 7 large for 8 years. that's a lot of money and frankly he can sign another huge contract at 28-29 years old.

I think all the risk is on the Sabres with a contract like that, however if I was GMKA I would be doing it in a heartbeat.

Sure, that was the trend for a while. Feels like momentum has changed and teams are more willing to pay their premium picks. Gets interesting when they don't have the cap, like Dallas with Robertson. Won't be the case here, but Power has every right to feel he deserves whatever Dahlin gets. That could easily mean bridge here.

I don't see how Power could argue for 9. The Sabres still own his RFA rights for several more years and that absolutely factors into the equation. If he had 3 or 4 years under his belt he could probably come close to 9.

Definitely on Tage if he stays healthy, I think Cozens will be in the same boat but I don't think he's there quite yet. Very well could see a ppg season out of him if the the kids keep rolling

To me it looks like Eichel is looking right at him and decided to gamble and lost miserably. that has to be one of the best open ice hits I have seen in years. Soupy Campbell worthy hit.

The way I see it, Heiskanen's 8.45m is the floor here. If Dahlin gets 10m, that's the ceiling. Heiskanen is great, but his deal is a few years old and he's not a #1 OA.

A 1.5m gap isn't that big. Should be fairly easy to find a middle ground.

If it falls through, you're looking at a Roberston bridge and you're playing with fire.

I don't think he initially saw him, looks like at the last second he does and he ends up toe picking at the same time.
Initially I thought his collar bone broke just from how he was shaking his shoulder when he got up but he came back and got a nice assist
