The Sabres like to make it seems like they are in on everyone - another Beane style management play Adams took.

While the goalies you mentioned above would be considered to fill the short term role, why would Adams do that while he has Comrie locked up for another season?

Is it worth the effort to try to make a goalie swap with another team?

I still think he'll be a solid goalie in the league. Team defense and the opposition he faced didnt help his cause last year IMO. He had some solid streaks and some not so solid, inconsistency happens with young goalies.

This is why I also think it'd be risky to run him and Levi as your goalies this point of their careers. Playoffs must be the goal this year.

Kinda

Sabrey- making moves/ not making moves without taking the fans temperature on the decisions.

Long term success, not knee jerk ,hole plugging moves via free agency.

Doesnt really seem like winning is the #1 priority, have I been missing something?

Bottom line, drafting and building from within, signing guys long term for cheap all very sabrey.

I really think they are gearing up for a new stadium at the tax payers expense. Could be the plan all along.....
