I’m indifferent on Barkov. Good player, haven’t watched much but there’s no doubt he’s struggled this playoffs.
I just find it funny you were so quiet on Reinhart when he was dominating from game 3 against Boston on (but were so load about it for those first 3 games). I know you didn’t “bring him up” but you certainly wanted to say something. Keep that same energy when he does something great again, because he will
And I’ll give you credit you did that when he played center here his last year. But all players go through periods without scoring. Even the great ones. Just weird you stay in this lane this long, but I fall right back in. Carry on, I now remember why I dipped from here for a month. - SDSabre
I noticed you posted a post about sammers celebrating when he scored the ot game winner.
Why dont you post about sammers uniting when he skates in a circle for 3 games doing absolutely nothing? Just the biggest games of his lifetime.
Works both way. And guess what. I actually watch the games. No offense, but your opinion is skewed when you admit to not watching the games......

In 2 to 3 seasons time, he could want an $11M AAV based on his play. - kingcong39
So this is the math that needs to be calculated.
-X years of RFA contract value for a #1 Dman
-Y years (8-"X") at UFA value for #1 Dman
Capfriendly shows him as a 10.2(c) status at the end of his current contract (23-24 season), so he can only sign with Buffalo if he was given a QA by 6/25/2024 which he certainly will as it is $875k.
I would guess that clause makes the Sabres have tighter control by eliminating Offer Sheet options on him.
So, would this be a logical way to proceed?
-5 years of "RFA-like" years at $8m = $40m
-3 years of UFA at $11m = $33m
Total of $73m / 8 years = $9.125m AVV
Sounds about right given Dahlin at $10m.
He certainly is not getting screwed hard.

Well that’s factually incorrect and I watch the games so and never said I don’t…. So.. awkward.
Because it’s all (supposed) to be fun, that’s why I post. Hasn’t been for quite some time. Have fun, I’m not arguing anymore about Sabres of 3 years ago.
he needs to use that grit and size, which is one of his criticisms.
greenway, while in Buffalo, analytically outperformed his time in Minnesota this year on a per minute basis. - TheSabresTaco
I didnt like the greenway trade at first.
Instantly #12 brought more then asplund who he ultimately replaced immediately in the lineup.
Asplund went on to play 20+ games in Nashville without a point if I remember correctly.
We really need greenway to step up a bit and play like a 6'5 guy.
Minnesota loved him, when they gave him that bloated 2nd deal.
I'm not out on greenway, I'd like to give him a 2nd chance. He's really a unicorn on this team. Most guys just aren't that tough or large.... mostly both.

I'm not trying to steer you away from posting, just having a little fun.
You guys get really sensitive when it comes to sam.
And yeah he’s struggled. Anyways, I think I’m done here. We’re not pals, you are just kinda insufferable. Have a good one. - SDSabre
Slightly suprised but, Good riddance
You really just pick teams off a map and root for them. That's really not a true fan. Most of us bleed buffalo sports, you're just like a dingle berry that stuck around....

how do you not like sasha barkov - TheSabresTaco
@DBWilson2
Barkov was quietly a tank tonight. Corsi of 18-3 when he was on the ice for 5-on-5. Scoring chances were 7-3.
Of course you’d like to see more points being scored (shoot it, Barky!)...
But, Take a look at Barkov’s defensive side through playoffs, he’s been helping the dee not be so leaky all playoff season.
He made the play at the line to keep the game tying scoring play going.
People who are looking solely at point totals, and missing all of the rest, are the ones saying Barkov is disappointing.
