No hate. I do want to see at least 2 rookies break in next season to gain incredible experience all season long...rather than wait another year or 3/4 of a year.

We'll see 14/16 picks don't usually take 3 seasons to hit the NHL, unless things go poorly. No idea what they are thinking. Anxious to find out.

It's totally believable he had discussions trading him for a pick. He was shuffled all around the lineup and and was injured for almost a full year and also went to the AHL

I think the Sabres would prefer him to be in Rochester. I'm not sure how his contract reads in regards to contract loans to the NHL (or AHL), but I think he was freed up because DIF remained regulated.
