Funny what happens when a team allows a player to develop. McKenzie had him ranked 18 in his final mock.
Teams were high on him then and the Sabres have been high on him the entire time. But when you're buried and injured in Sweden and don't have the professional size body yet to compete against men, your stock is going to go down publicly. Now all of the sudden he's able to put up points and face the rigors of the physicality of the AHL. - TheSabresTaco
His size might hold him back from being considered a top prospect by some teams.
Also, what is his role/what kind of player is he in the NHL?
Olofsson type with better defense and more physical engagement?
I can assure you that 31 other teams would like to have Isak Rosen in their pipeline. - TheSabresTaco
Sure, but that doesn't mean they would all consider him a top prospect, nor would they trade a quality NHL roster player with him as the hingepoint coming from the Sabres.

Cederqvist might actually be something some day. Have to say I've liked his "big man game" better than Murray's this series. I don't know if Brett is playing injured, but he looks like poope right now.

Well that's fine cause Kyle Okposo is single handedly blocking Murray from ever playing for the sabars
The Matt Grzelcyk idea is pretty decent. Only a year left on his contract though, you probably need some extension assurances unless he could be had for a mid prospect or pick. - TheSabresTaco
I'd be into that. Joker (half retained) and a 4th for Grysck

He's up there on the wish list. He's apparently got excellent zone entry denial numbers.
I believe Tanev is still at the top but nobody's really sure how available he is given the contract limbo Calgary is in.
Absolute black hole on defense. All that offense he provided didn't do poop to help them win while he was on the ice. If you have Dahlin and Power running powerplays..
what would ya say he does here. - TheSabresTaco
He had 3pts on the PP last year, everything else came at 5vs5

Looked like he was injured after a hit behind the net in one of the home games. He came back but wouldn't be surprised if he's banged up.
Hopefully Karmanos and co are not poached from the Sabres.
Many on twitter think it’s going to be spezza - Sabretooth9
Pens are still in win now mode, Karmanos has not shown any ability to acquire NHL talent. He is great at building a prospect pipeline, which the pens will need in 3 years after Crosby is done. IMO poaching him doesn’t match their needs.
