Presently they are not ready, don't have suitable leadership, and winning depends on a 4th line guy who is virtually gassed.

Last season they exceeded
expectations by one point.

I would think we should have higher expectations and look to improve at every position available.
Slopokso does not do it...unless he spends his time working with Savoie and Rousek then rotates in.

I know we get casual updates about the Tor guy, but we ended up using that pick to get Filip Cederqvist (traded it and moved up into the 5th round along with a 7th). Just a full circle look at it.

This is the year to use that 13th overall to get a great player. A lot of top 4/top 6 talent can be found with/packaging this pick, historically.

Even considering Adams' team building philosophy of keeping the pipeline full, it can be justified by the 3 first round picks you need to find room for drafted just last year. If they continue to 'appear' to hit on their mid round picks like they've done the past few years, they can afford to give up a few picks here and there.

I am very sure we can sign a player in FA to get me 11 goals, 17 helpers and a -7 for less then 2.5 Million, And don't give me the old leadership quality BS. There are plenty of good leaders on this team, Tuch, Dahlin, Cozens.....

For me it just does not make a lot of sense resigning Okie to any deal in Buffalo. I would of rather they signed Tyson Jost to a 3 year x 2.5. he is younger and can get you the same production from the 4th line.
