Sounds like anecdotal evidence that does not fall in line with the consensus and that’s scary that a doctor wouldn’t understand that. People have smoked their whole lives and lived 90+ years so of course smoking = good. But I’m just a layman with google - picklerick
We are not all the same. What works for one person might not work for another.
However, shes not the only one I know. Another anesthesiologist I know became sick with cancer and decided to try keto. Last I heard shes cancer free and in tip top health and spirits.
Like him or not, look at Jordan Peterson and (I believe) his daughter. See has some auto-immune disease and going to a strict meat only diet has helped her immensely.
Theres far too many people that seem to have been affected positively by keto and other pretty extreme diets to call it anecdotal. |

I think organizational it isn’t the right time for a first time HC. Jmo. And I think that’s what Drury probably feels. We need a win now coach who at least has done reasonably well in the playoffs. I’m not sure putting pressure on a first time “NHL” hc, Knoblauch included, is the best idea. If there is one thing the team org players coaches on down will feel next season is pressure. It’s going to be immense, like ‘94s was
When the fire GG chants were flying I asked why? This is why I asked, because the coaching carousel to pick from isn’t overly exciting. I don’t disagree with firing him, something had to hit the fan, my thinking is you can’t just a pluck the perfect coach out of nowhere. GG had two years with the group, one year they overachieved and one they very much underachieved. In NY you don’t get many chances so GGs lost his in the end
Anyway, my two cents |

So not true, Ive known many people who have lost weight and feel better. I myself lost 25lbs and have kept it off for years. Blood work is perfect!! Cardiologist says to keep it up. Less carbs more protein. |

The key to the Rangers is getting their young players to develop and take the next step. That's when the Ranger will be a real threat to win the cup. Stop trading away future assets to win now. Continue to draft and develop. Add to that young core. Is Laviolette the coach to do that. Hard to say. He is a very aggressive forechecking coach that loves puck pressure. Seems to fit the Rangers. |

I think you're assuming GM's should have some sort of crystal ball to know which 'future assets' are going to be that piece that puts them over the top. Trading away future assets to win now is the league blueprint for winning a championship. |

We haven’t traded any futures really anyway. We’ve traded a handful of picks. We have every prospect we loathed losing in a trade still in the cupboard

I'm not assuming anything. The key is volume. The more picks you make, the more chances you have to hit on a pick. The key is also timing. Too many teams reach and trade away high assets too soon. The Rangers have been guilty of that in my opinion. They've made some really good moves but also some bad moves. Trading away first rounders too soon and trading skill for grit. The key is timing. |

Rangers traded away numerous 1st and 2nd round picks. They traded away Buchnevich, which was an awful trade for Blais.

And now Blais, fully healthy, has become the bottom six player New York is likely seeking. They waited for him to get right, dealt him to create cap space in the deal for Tarasenko, and he took a step forward back in St. Louis and in the World Championships. Bad look for the team on the initial trade and now after dealing him back to the Blues. |

It reminds me of my simple friend in college who parked on the wrong side of the street one night and woke up to a ticket and then moved the car to the other side of the street where he proceeded to get another ticket as the next day was opposite side parking |

Vegas essentially gave up a 1st round pick for Barbashev, we couldnt afford to do that. Management wanted to maximize the return without giving up too much assets, thus Kane. |

Keep seeing that VAN is extremely interested in Laf. Would we be able to get Boeser @50% retained and the 11th OA pick from them? I’d do that in a heartbeat. The 11th pick in this draft could probably be a top 5 in lafs draft |

Im not trading LAF until I can see what he can do with a new coach.
Also, theres no chance VAN trades their 1st AND Boeser retained for LAF. If anything the Rangers would be the ones having to give extra for Boeser retained. |

Hes also 5 years older than LAF and will be an unrestricted free agent next year.
Why not keep LAF, play out the season and get Boeser at the deadline. That makes a hell of a lot more sense. |
|
|
|
I think its is the tale of what we were expecting him to play like vs. what he could actually play like.
We had him pegged as a bottom 6 player, thats the guy we were expecting, and thats how he was utilized. GG totally flopped here. However, it turns out hes more like a silky middle six player that can get 200 hits.
I think this is just another ripple of GG's coaching. - aecliptic
He had 17 career goals prior to coming to the Rangers and 0 in 54 games as a Ranger. He’s turning 27 in a few weeks, but yes, he’s suddenly a stud that GG coached into sucking. 🤦♂️ |

Boeser has 2 seasons left. I wouldn’t sign him unless he broke out again and then his # would come up significantly. 2 years with 50% retained is a good gamble in my opinion if, and only if, you’re getting their #11 pick too. Does that involve giving up our 1st rounder? Probably |

Im not saying he coached him into sucking but he was getting under 10 minutes/game. Im also not saying his production is sustainable unless hes completely changed his game around. However, under 10 mins a game on the 4th line isnt enabling him. Whatever GG was doing, definitely did not work for Blais, its pretty clear based on his numbers before he got to NY and his numbers after NY. |
