2 or 3 years max
Even at 3, 5M a year for 3 years, that would be the best deal he could get on the market |

Dreger We updated the Toronto Maple Leafs GM search earlier tonight Insider Trading. More specifically, all signs now point to the search wrapping up in the very near future with Brad Treliving being named as the new GM. |

5 years, 3.5M per season. - Scabeh
That deal will be 3 years max because Habs will not offer him top $$$
To get a 5 years, it would be minimum $4M and I am not sure Habs are ready to pay that kind of money…
If Monty plays another solid season and if Primeau fails, it would be another story…

I wouldn't go to long term with Monty anyway, 2 years ago he was backup AHL goalie. He woudn't be the first goalie to go on a hotstreak and then disapoint, 3 years max if he's the real deal on a competitive them in 3 years good for him, he'll have his payday. |

for sure, I agree. it's impressive though how he's been able to improve his game at 26 years old, but goalies can be very unpredictable. still, the logic behind giving him longer term is that he would actually take a bit less per year, as I'm sure he'd be pretty interested in taking a 5-year 3M per deal, because it would bring a lot of stability for him, instead of 2 years at 4M for example.
