Dale Tallon (not Dave but facts aren't too important to you I suppose) helped build the Blackhawks and the Panthers into contenders and Champions. He drafted well, he developed players well and most importantly, his teams won Cups. 3 in Chicago and potentially 1 in Florida.

Was he perfect? Certainly not. But a lot more positive than negative. And most importantly, he got results. Stanley Cups. It's way more and way better than anything Treliving has ever done.

I was mildly and angsty against signing him at first, but he's here now and so I'm going to switch to excited mode as it's something new and fresh. Will be fun to see what direction Tree Living decides to pivot to.

And let's be honest, "Tree Living" and "Maple Leafs" has some serious poetic synergy.
