you mentionned Roy, some other former NHLers are also ready to jump, I think of Alex Tanguay and some others.

yeah, I wouldn't consider those two as being more interesting candidates than Roy... I'm probably biased because as a young lad watching his very first hockey games Patrick quickly became my idol lol, but I think I'm still able to objectively conclude that he's learned from his past NHL coaching mistakes. he definitely has a winner's mindset, and he has some kind of special aura that the others you mentioned just don't have.

and there's probably a reason why they've been waiting for so long and still didn't land an NHL head-coaching job, if they were so interesting you'd think teams would inquire about their services.
