seriously... you're supposed to start with the lowest possible number, everybody knows that's how negotiations work. - Pat1993
he's gotta be reasonable if he expects to be taken seriously though.
i could go to my bosses and say i want a 6% increase next year and hope for 3 or 4%. i can't go in and say i want 10% thinking i'll get 5 or 6%, they'd just chuckle.
otherwise it seems a bit similar to Mathew Tkachuk last season with Calgary and the guy is now seen as a demi god
agree with Torts, that guy should most likely not have a job but he won a cup two decades ago with some great players so it is what it is - deadpoulet
I think Torts got through to the “hungry” players and those with something to prove. And I think his approach came off wrong with the highly paid, “entitled” players and he’s a polarizing personality.
I, personally, would love to play for Torts. I grew up with a female genitalia Italian dad that put me to work at 7 years old. I can handle torts.
It’s all a matter of opinion in the end. Bygones, as Pat would say

This is where someone smarter than me would add the Patrick Roy pointing gif to this …

you are always worth in the NHL what one GM is willing to pay you
as much as I would like to see Dubois ends up in mtl, it has to make sense as well overall
I would also be ok with Dach playing behind Suzuki next season. They are not a contender for a while, not even a playoffs team.

if Torts would be my coach, he would be so mad at me. He would call me out in front of the media for being a chicken and that kind of crap. It would be bad.
I dont think Saint-louis would be happy to have a chicken on his line up most of the nights either, but he is always nice with everybody, you know?
i kind of feel poopty, tbh. missed the last 2 days of work. well, i worked from home yesterday and tuesday i stayed in bed.
i am about to leave the office but i will read the hilarious story when i get home. i promise. - kicksave856
First, and foremost, feel better friend!! We all love you in here, and we have SO much (frank)ing fun in the Habs thread!!!
And, as people may or may not know, I recently purchased an original NES and that Mike Tyson’s Punchout is my fave game!!
So I recently got my $3000 (secondhand) 7-string Kiesel Vader all fixed up, cost me another $173 but well worth it!!
So I have absolutely mastered the song in Mike Tyson’s Punchout where “Little Mac” is training after every Title Bout win and following his trainer on the bicycle!! Hahahaha!
I’m turning it into a heavy metal 7-string monster in B tuning.

He would be mad that he couldn’t find skates for a chicken . And such a talented one at that!!
and if you had a breakaway move…you could call it the “beer can”
