If Michkov falls to 7 the Flyers need to grab him for 2 reasons. According to all the experts he’s the BPA by far at that spot, and it keeps him from playing for a division rival. I don’t want to have Flyers remorse 4 years from now when Michkov is lighting us up every game. - mikeyo27
I think if he is there at 7 the Flyers take him. With getting the extra first, I think it gives you that buffer. He will not get past WSH at 8.

Yes I do. - MBFlyerfan
Idk. Michkov in any other draft supposedly would go #1. So bedard michkov fantilla. Assuming get to 2 and take fantilla is it worth supposedly 3rd best player? And if going to 2 for michkov is that needed? Assuming the risk and fantilla will ho 2? |

What a clown! The entire premise is a hypothetical and you're posting that it's speculation and no facts. LMAO It is not a fact that having more additional picks would give you a higher probability to getting an elite player. You are wrong. Having 3 later first round picks would not give you a higher probability of getting an elite player than having the 2nd overall pick. If your two best trade chips are a borderline 1st/2nd line winger and a solid starting goalie then you absolutely deal those players and the 7th for an elite prospect. You would be an idiot not to. The comment that all elite players weren't chosen in the top 3 does not mean you pass up the 2nd overall in that deal. It would not be putting all your eggs in one basket as the Flyers still have other picks. They need elite talent. - MJL

There is a flip side. Won't likely win the cup with Konecny and Hart leading the way. Good players but the Flyers have been able to develop good players. They need elite players. - MJL
I thought Jake and G were elite?

Reports are that Chicago's open to trading the #19 pick.
That's the pick the Flyers should realistically target. |

since they are also rebuilding what are they looking for I wonder, that the flyers have to offer

here you go with the personal attacks again. lmao. trade all that you get one elite player. keep the 7th and get additional picks you may have more elite players. who said they would all be late first round picks?
who says who is picked at 7th doesn't become an elite player (could be the russian kid)?
where was point drafted?, Pastrnak? Rantanen?
but keep arguing just for the sake of arguing. Funny, others as well said they wouldn't do it. go troll them..lol

Now that the tank has paid off and they have Bedard in hand I'd think they'd probably want to give him a decent linemate or two to ease his transition into the league.
Maybe somebody like TK might interest them.
Or it would be funny if they traded 19OA to Ottawa and got Debrincat back lol.
Could also just be a possible move up from 22 scenario for the Flyers. |

flyers will give him their usual 8 year max deal.
If you were Hart would you want to re-sign and waste your years in a "rebuild"? Maybe he plays out his RFA years on 1 year deals. - hello it's me 2050

To me I would think they want players with more control not a FA to be in 2 years.
value wise TK and a small add for 19 isn't outlandish.

Probably the 4x5/5x5 goalie contract that seems to be the standard right now (Ullmark, Saros, Elvis, Kuemper, Campbell, Lehner, Demko, etc). - Tomahawk
Ulmark had never started more than 37 games in a season, and the cap was flat as a pancake when Boston signed him to 4 x $5m. Demko signed that same summer after only playing 63 games in his career.
Hart is going to be asking for $6/7m easy with the cap going up significantly in 2024. He got almost $4m on his last contract right after being the worst starter in the league in the 20201 season. |

Maybe Fantilli like Cooley wants to return to Michigan to get a crack at winning the NCAA title. He has options and pressures. I think the chance of him going back is not likely. Win the Hobey Baker and then go back. Don’t see it.

That’s where I have it as well. Jack Campbell lol. And if a team is trading for him, they obviously are comfortable giving him the contract, don’t think it’s going to be a trade and play out the year |

I don't think they'd bring him to be a keeper, more like a stop gap.
Play him w/ Bedard, his numbers probably get juiced, then flip him at the TDL before his deal expires. Probably could recoup what they paid or even come out ahead. |

I think it's likely he'll sign an extension before the cap goes up, whether that's w/ the Flyers or somewhere else.
That $4M he got was from the single worst contract negotiator in the league.
And most GMs are reluctant to invest big money/term into goaltending. Hart isn't Bob, Vasy or Carey Price who's gonna get the Brinks truck treatment. Pre-draft hype is still strong, but his play simply doesn't warrant it. |

I deleted my first statement. That was wrong and I apologize. The 2nd overall to select a player that is projected to be an elite player is the higher odds of getting an elite player. They aren't likely to get high first round picks for either Konecny or Hart.
who says who is picked at 7th doesn't become an elite player (could be the russian kid)?
- Peter Richards
I don't know. Who did? Certainly not me.
where was point drafted?, Pastrnak? Rantanen?

The comment made was that a 2nd overall pick gives them the best odds. There was no statement made that an elite player couldn't be obtained with a later pick.
but keep arguing just for the sake of arguing. Funny, others as well said they wouldn't do it. go troll them..lol - Peter Richards
Not trolling you. I'm countering your opinion which I think is wrong and poorly thought out. I responded to the other guy who said he wouldn't.

Hart and Konecny are worth a lot
seems like a waste of their value to use them to move up in a deep draft when we've already got two picks in the top 22 |

He only has a year left and the cap is going up next summer. He would have to sign an early extension with the Flyers or another team that he's traded to, to do that.
Petersen is a another goalie who got $5m after playing 50-60 games. Can't blame that deal on Chuck. |

That’s tough. I think you jump on that though, if the prevailing sentiment is that absent this being a crazy bedard year then he would be a sure fire number one in most years.
I think TK has a good bit of value. Easily a mid first and some other pieces.
Hart, I’m not trying to ruffle feathers but I just don’t see the large asset value in return being there. Maybe I’m wrong but there really isn’t past history to show that. He’s not irrelevant, but not something that would make me ultimately walk away from the table to do what needs to be done to get the 2nd overall. - stayinthefnnet
I could be be talked into it. I mean I figure the Flyers are losing Hart regardless. 2 instead of 7. Fantilli over TK. Flyers still have the 22nd pick. When you break it into segments it makes sense.
