He only has a year left and the cap is going up next summer. He would have to sign an early extension with the Flyers or another team that he's traded to, to do that. - Feanor
He's eligible on July 1 2023 to sign an extension. It's likely he has a new sheet of paper signed before the season starts. |

Right, but he’s not signing for $5M. If a team traded for him, they are going to give him a deal. And it’s going to be for more money than those guys you listed got. The cap is going up. |

If he isn't traded and the flyers have their way 8 years.
The only incentive for Hart to sign now is the cash, mind you a big incentive. There is no rush on his end imo. If he wants to win he doesn't sign just yet. |

If he signed with Philly for $5m they would have two $5m goalies signed for 2024-25. |

Hart could go to arbitration w/ his career .906 SV% and he'd be lucky to even get $5M.
Never seen such a huge disconnect between a guy's actual play and his perceived trade/contract value before. |

goalies never seem to fetch as much i will say. for some reason everyone seems to be super high on the kid though.
what do you think a tk return could be. guessing not as much as the schenn trade years ago, but close to it.

Mentioned…all guys that got paid with next
To no sustained good hockey . Campbell had what a season and a half of hockey and got $5M with term |

I could actually see TK going for 2 low 1sts if they take back a Lehtera type contract.

For one or two years he might only get $5m in arbitration. But I don't think they just look at career SV% and nothing else.

What else is there?
I guess they could try to submit his numbers from Everett/Team Canada |

Foolish. - MJL
You’re talking about handing over the opportunity to have 2 firsts and 2 seconds minimally for konecny and hart. Probably more. Not to mention giving up the 7. Yea foolish |

I could be be talked into it. I mean I figure the Flyers are losing Hart regardless. 2 instead of 7. Fantilli over TK. Flyers still have the 22nd pick. When you break it into segments it makes sense. - Pelle31Forever
Exactly. this is under the assumption fantilli is THAT kind of prospect. I’ll defer to others who follow outside of the nhl on that one. But if he is, this hypothetical represents the flyers best chance to get what they need the most which is a top level talent at the forward position |

I could be wrong but the one who seems to be the closest to the talent of Bedard is actually Michkov i believe. He's just Russian.

Hart and Konecny are worth a lot
seems like a waste of their value to use them to move up in a deep draft when we've already got two picks in the top 22 - Coburns_Nose
So is Coburns 👃 🤥 nose! Worth a lot! |

Yes, it is foolish. 2 firsts which likely would not be high firsts and two seconds to draft a player with the 2nd overall pick with the real potential to be an elite player. It's a no brainer. The only thing that bothers me is the Flyers past luck with the 2nd overall.
Would you trade two 1st rounders and two 2nd rounders for a young Auston Matthews or Nathan McKinnon? |

Craig Button says the market for Hart won't become clear until the Parliamentary Committee report on the 2018 Junior team is made public and any discipline ,if forthcoming, is handed out by the league. |

Fantilli would be 3rd option at best behind bedard michkov. Is fantilli that level? If so then yes maybe give all that up. If any doubt probably shouldn’t risk all those assets |

They know who was involved. If hart wasn’t involved it would be made known to teams |

It's possible that when all is said and done that Michkov turns out to be the more talented player, but right now Fantilli is considered the better prospect.
He's worth just about anything the Flyers could realistically pay. |

Why are the Ducks trading the 2nd overall pick from their rebuild to get a bunch of stuff not good enough for the flyers rebuild? |
