Nah konecny and lemieux - 2Real
I asked bill before and he said he doesn’t feel the flyers will retain lemeuix. Shame I like his game in the small sample size he played and like his skating. |

"This is just like the time I traded back and drafted Cam York over Cole Caulfield and Matt Boldy"
"Yup guys, the app says its a fair trade, wanna take a look?"
"No, I don't think three years is too long to wait for Michkov. Heck, I once waited so long for a Russian in Minnesota that I forgot he was even in our system!"
"OK guys, I'm signing off before the 2nd-round begins. I'll be back for the 3rd." - Tomahawk
That trade app was proprietary property of the Flyers. He had to surrender that when he was fired. |

He's a 4th line scrub. Flyers have enough of them and need to have open roster spots for younger players. |

The Sharks have been on a downswing for a while now, much like the Flyers, but don't seem to be taking the route of a full teardown or large-scale rebuild. They're trying to re-tool their team on the fly, and in theory, going after a goalie like Hart would keep things moving.
But according to Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now, the price from the Flyers [for Hart] that's out there right now – per a source – is two first-round picks, and that would only be the start of the conversation.

Bill, what input did Jones have on the trade? - ClaudeFather
I don't think much was needed, other than agreeing that it's the direction they want to go. |

What younger players should occupy that 4th line? what you would do for the 4th line.

But do you want to waste a roster spot and cap space on him when you are trying to give young players roster spots and recoup cap space? The Flyers are not the place for him. |

If Allison is playing the young guys will have plenty of opportunities to be called up. Unless it’s Elliot. I wouldn’t play a lot of prospects in a 4 th line role. And every team has a 4 th line.
Who knows what else happens with trades. Minus Tyson, what prospect is ready to play in the nhl on the regular? |

Bill, excluding the Russian, what's the chances whoever they draft at 7 makes the flyers out of camp? |

Getting prospects a few games is one thing. But throwing them to the wolves is another. |

Brink may be ready depending on his training camp. |

There is no reason not to play young players on the 4th line. There should be an open competition for ice time and a spot on the team between young players. There is no need to keep 4th line scrubs in the lineup. Players like Deslauriers and Lemieux should be jettisoned. |

I only consider a prospect being thrown to wolves if he is not physically able to compete against NHL players. So for example, if Brink at some point this season has earned a shot to play for the big club, I don't want a scrub like Lemieux getting in his way. |

Someone told me to dial back the Carter Hart (trade talk). They don't think that that necessarily is on the front burner and we should take a timeout on that one, so I will," said Friedman.
"I do think Philly is looking at Tony DeAngelo. I think they're aggressive on that front about trying to see what the market is for him. So, I think that DeAngelo moves to the front burner ahead of Hart. And someone said to me, 'Dial that one down, because I don't think that one's imminent.'
This was surprises me a bit, since I think the Flyers would be selling low on DeAngelo for this off-season, but perhaps the relationship between Tony and Torts is just too far gone. |

i don't think that would be the best development path for each player. and you didn't answer the question. i wouldn't or don't think tyson should be getting 4th line minutes. and injuries will happen, especially if allison and tanner are still on this team. if they earn it, so be it. someone can take the 13th spot.

Maybe the Sharks should have just kept Adin Hill. Two 1st round picks just to start the conversation for Hart. A 2nd, 3rd and 4th to start a conversation on TDA and a 5th just to think of starting a conversation on Hayes.

Bill if the Fyers got the first pick in that draft and picked Patrick Kane instead of JVR do you think they would have wone the cup during that time period with Carter and Richards? - jimbass1 I'm not Bill, but in my opinion that is a resounding YES! Hell, they would have most likely won in 2010 if the Flyers had Kane and the Hawks had JVR.

I asked him that this past season but he would not provide specific examples. Let's say they put someone like Jackson Cates on the 4th and he is getting the 8 minutes a game. Do the Flyers or Cates benefit from that? MJL will then complain that the Flyers aren't using him properly and archaic Torts the dinosaur doesn't know how to utilize the younger players.

I'm guessing that Tony told Torts to flip off and that's why he didn't play the last 5 games of the season or whatever. I mean, they dressed 5 defenders the one game to keep him out of the lineup. Buh bye turd! Angelo seems like a self entitled jerkoff that sucks at the game of hockey.
