Agreed but this is ultimately my gripe with gibson. Idk that hes more of a known than any of the top 3 or 4 UFA goalies.

Sure ANA sucks, but so did he. So you're still assuming a ton of risk and likely giving up assets for it.

If im giving up value for a goalie, i need to be sure, or as close to it as i can get.

Appreciate that. My hope in him comes from the good games he played, he did have some lights out performances where he saved us. He was inconsistent, but given the lack of defensive structure or any continuity in the shot pattern, this is to be expected from a rookie goalie. Give him time and develop him properly and IMO he's the perfect cheap backup to Levi who is going to be a monster it looks like.

What does Chris Drury win ? They are a bottom 10 roster in the league being dragged by Shesterkin, while being gifted Panarin and Fox signed threir due to geographical location ?

What does Brad Trevling get to hang ? “Hey we traded Tkachuk for pieces to win now instead of getting a treasure chest of futures only to have to blow the team up this offseason” award ?

Is there an award for Lou Lamorello fielding a team of 85 year olds signed till 100 next year ?

Absolutely nothing, in reality the ONLY reason we won some many games is we outscored our horrible Goaltending and defensive play.

I am all for getting another option other than UPL in here, However if we could say trade for a Top 4 RHD and maybe another steady Dman along with a good Defensive forward, Maybe UPL's numbers are better???

That's the problem. Time is up and he's not waiver exempt so either he can play 30-40 games with Levi or he can't. He had 0 games where he let in fewer than 2 goals this season. I just don't see how they can reasonably bet on that

I didn’t expect them to do anything by now. This is directed at the ever changing mindset that Adams biggest backers have.

Slloowwlly convincing themselves we actually don’t need another goalie or that every top 4 D is too expensive or old.

Craig Anderson has been the best Sabres goalie for the past two years. This is almost undeniable fact. I have to hope management is aware of that and will react accordingly

.906 is also slightly above league average this season.

Craig Anderson was the best goalie on this team by miles. Six games this year where he let in 1 or 0 goals. It's too bad he came here when he was already ancient.

Carter Verhagee signing a two year deal as a free agent for next to nothing when be originally signed in Florida.

Jared McCann was left off of not one but two expansion lists for Seattle. Was dealt way too early by Florida.

They are out there, just because there is a fancy sticker price doesn’t mean it’s not effective.
