I earnestly believe that this drought has warped some fans into caring more about what our list of prospects looks like, or our cap space, more than they do about actually winning hockey games because winning hockey games is so far into the distant past.
It’s becoming a joke to me.
All these vibes are going to hell real quick if they don’t make the playoffs next year and oh it is far from a guarantee they do - sbroads24
For several decades now, I have been highly interested in the team formation process.
I enjoy the building of a roster, it makes the winning so much more enjoyable.
So, this phase of the build is exciting to me.
Also, being a Bolts fan, I have seen my share of winning hockey over the past 8 -9 years...perhaps that has taken some of the sting out of the last 10 years of failed builds of the Sabres.
It is time for the FO to make the necessary moves to get the team into the PO this season.
I'm expecting a top4 Dman and a G move on e way or another. Not expecting much more than that, and I think that is all they need...maybe another Dman for depth.
If they fail to deliver, I'll be yelling at the clouds more than I normally do. |

You mean the organization that drafted and/or developed as an undrafted free agent the following:
Stamkos, Hedman, Point, Cirelli, Kucherov, Vasy, Killorn, Palat, Johnson, Gourde, Marchessault.

The Sabres employed the oldest NHL goaltender for two seasons. It would be on-brand to employ the youngest tandem in the league. I think it would be an enormous mistake but I could definitely envision them doing it - Hank Balling
Totally agree
What if they aren't sure on upl and want to see more?
If you think he sucks and management should have seen enough, I respect that.
Seems sabrery |

Gabe Vincent, Caleb Martin, Max Strus, Duncan Robinson, Jimmy Butler all undrafted or trades, 3 games from the championship this year, 5 last year. More than one way to skin a cat... |

Yeah, just not the right fit. Varlamov, same thing for different reasons. - RhinoFan
Which goaltender would be the right fit to bring in to partner with Levi? |

Then by all means keep trotting him out there.
If he proves he's nothing, you can move on then, but you'll have catered most of the value you'd get in a trade if you made the decision faster, and you may have (frank)ed up your team's chances during more than one season.
The above is what can happen when you wait too long. |

A goalie that can play 40gms and atleast give me a .905 save %. And preferably a goalie under 38 |

Fear of potentially missing out cannot paralyze an organization.
It is ok to move on from a player when trying to upgrade a position, because the upgrade fits the timing of your need better. |

I totally agree, and at this point that seems to be Adams biggest area and need for improvement. It's only going to get harder to, especially if the many prospects keep developing the way they are. |

Name a team that has a goalie like that, are you looking to replace Anderson with MAF?

If Diggs doesn't show up to mandatory mini-camp, Beane needs to trade that pos. I know SABRES 89 feels the same way, as do a lot of Bills fans. |

Guy played 46gms last year with a .908 Save % and 2.96 Gaa I believe. We are in the playoffs if we had those numbers last year. |

How ? No team is taking that contract and Buffalo isn't eating like 44mill in dead cap space. |

Doesn't matter how. SABRES 89 wants him gone. Restructure his contract and then trade him, if that's what it takes. |

You brought it up, not 89. Sure, so you have to eat more dead cap down the road!! Go away |

I agree, I would be happy with MAF mentoring Levi, that Dad role makes sense to me.

Use our 3rd round pick on him. This time, this 3rd round pick will sign with Buffalo. |

MAF came out and stated he was tired of moving around. Wants to stay in Minnesota.. now, if they don't want him.. I guess he's an option? He fits the archetype of what Kevo wants in there.
