He was provably worse than Levi and Anderson and equal to Comrie. All he has to his credit is the win stat because Tage went super saiyan during those games.
I dont blame him on a personal level for his -1.7 WAR, but the Sabres would have been in the playoffs if he were replacement level last year - Hank Balling
probably say the same for anderson and comrie
and they had an easier schedule
which is the point of many of us

Their owner has been a kid in a candy store when it comes to new shiny things. Congrats, they aren't afraid to make mistakes. They've made some absolutely terrible moves mixed in with the good ones. The fact that they moved on doesn't impress me much - most teams love to get rid of bad contracts. - Slump Buster
What they have done is infinitely more impressive than what Adams has done in his 3+ years here so far. Like what are we even talking about? |

But have they? Think about it - they had a roster that competed for the cup right out of the gate. I'd argue that they have probably made as many bad moves as they have good since then. They have a very good roster so I have to give them that. They are the best team in the west, but that isn't saying much this year. - Slump Buster
OMG they are going to win the cup man, comeon |

My point is, why do we need to move a blue chip prospect or premium draft capital to round out the edges of the roster ?
Fortunately Tage has developed into a 1C and filled the void that Eichel left, I think Cozens has 1C potential himself in his prime.
Vegas didn’t have to move the sun and the stars for the rest of their roster, that’s my point. - Swedish_Jesus

Some Sabres fans are driving me nuts now.
Now Vegas actually isn’t really a well run organization
Just the Sabres apparently. The team that can’t make the playoffs
But hey! No bad moves! |

Because we're not a new franchise starting with a salary cap of 0.0 and being paid to take legit nhl players.
it's not really a comparable that works here. Its entirely possible the Sabres can build a winner without trading premium picks/prospects. But its also equally likely they'll have to. It can go either way. - Michael Ghofrani
Ok fine:
Free Agents/Waiver Claims: Carter Verhagee, Anthony Duclair, Nick Cousins, Radko Gudas, Gustav forsling, Josh Mahura, Ryan Lomberg
Traded 3rd rounder for Montour
Traded 2nd rounder and Heniemen for Bennett
Luostarainen was the prospect in the return of the Vorcheck trade to Carolina.

Good businesses take risks and make mistakes. That’s how they grow. They don’t count the lint in their pockets.
It’s the same in sports.
They need to take swings. They’ll inevitably miss here and there but if they don’t swing they won’t win |

So we should trade Thompson, Tuch and Skinner for picks since that is the only way to build a team.

I mean, youre choosing to ignore the really big one that kinda ties the whole team together, right? |

No, but we shouldn’t have to trade top prospects or the 13th overall selection to fill out your roster either.

The Sabres already have Tage, Tuch, Skinner, Cozens, Quinn, Peterka.
They need at most a bottom 6 energy forward, top 4 d, and a goalie.
All of which can be acquired without giving up a Quinn, Peterka, Kulich, Savoie, or 13th overall.
I’ve given you a dozen examples in my last two posts proving that |

pay the (frank)ing price for the right (frank)ing player and move the (frank) on already.
newsflash, he's not here, at the very least not the version that we need this season. |
