That is completely not true. The entire league knew that Tkachuk wasn't signing there, and if he wasn't signing there, he was going to be traded. The Sabres had trade talks about Eichel before he was even hurt.

You can't just say "trade a bunch of assets for a Tkachuk clone" without pointing out someone who qualifies.

Sure, I'd take some of those guys. I wouldn't go within 100 miles of Kuznetsov. Karlsson isn't an option at his salary and position.

Unless we could get a Tkachuk and not a Tkachuk-lite, I don't see Adams making a huge move. Like it or not, I think he has an eye for the cap 2 - 4 years down the road. Half of the board agrees with this, half does not.

He rolled the dice on a goalie and completely screwed us by not getting help on D early in the season when injuries hit. Last year was a growth year, this year he starts to hit the gas. As he said, now there are expectations.
