Curious, what are these insiders now saying? - IonSabres
Well I know agents and players have taken notice, still not where it needs to be. But Adams is changing the Vibes. It's just time to take of the Training Wheels and jump on the Mountain bike.
What kind of cost is going to be involved? - Boss34
Think if they retained on Olofsson it could for Tanev!
Don't think Olofsson does that for Hanifin. I would include Mitts as long as Hanifin signs a Extension. Calgary could use a C. Especially if Lindholm leaves.

Graham echoed Fairburn's comments from the combine that players are removing Buffalo from their NTC lists.
'memeber when Kucherov was "hurt" all year but was ready for game 1 and out did himself from the year prior.... - DirtyDan
Yeah, I think Tampa was actually the worse culprit, but the amount of money being stashed is just too much. $2-3M over, I still wouldn't like it, but no biggie...$14M is a 2nd line or a top pairing...a huge advantage to have over the competition. It makes sense teams that have done this have won three of the past four.

Sorry we will have to trade those pieces to acquire more picks and cap space.
Buffalo is small market after all and that means they can’t afford to have a good players and actually operate under a secret lower salary cap ceiling than the rest of the league that the NHL doesn’t tell us about - ImThatGuy
Lol.
Man my mouth is full from the words you are sticking in it.
Now try again. Here's a suggestion...
The team will invest in it's core players.
It will off-load soon to be expensive (by comparison) secondary and tertiary players by replacing them with with highly talented players who have developed well in those lesser leagues and are ready to play in the big leagues on ELC and Bridge deals. It allows them to retain the core longer and add to it.
Your ass must be full from all the bullpoop coming out of it, lol.
Reinhart wasnt offered a long term deal for a reason. He wasnt a "core" lead by example player. Couple different gms saw his soft dueshe bag attitude and did the right thing.
Upside:
Down 3 games to 1 and 7-1 in the 3rd period , shrunk showed everyone the gms were right.
Eichel was awesome here and deserved his extension. Also deserves the cup IMO - Boss34
look you can't be tim murraying this thing - TheSabresTaco
Yes, yes, don't want to block Novikov and all that. Seriously though, wrong handedness, but if we can just get 2021-22 Hanifin back, I think he could really steady things.

In 24-25 the team has about 20M in space. That's missing 3 bottom forwards, 4 bottom D and 1 G. Could Mitts, Krebs and a 1st get two pending UFAs in Lindholm and Hanifin? Does a top prospect need to be added? I'm sure one or two seconds probably.

I am not really buying into the handedness conversation much anymore. Kev looks for guys who are good enough to swap sides in-game. Hanifin and Power definitely have the talent to do so.

Yeah, my buddy has said the same thing. Different talk about Buffalo for the last while. Doors have opened in some ways, now it's time for Adams to walk through them and take advantage of some of the assets he has.

Just an idea. Probably outside Kev's wheelhouse.
I am sure he's looking into Hanifin though. - TheSabresTaco
