Teurovinan was traded to get rid of player because of a bad contract.

Forsberg was traded like 5-6 years before they won the cup and the guys they got for him weren't even on the team anymore.

Pittsburgh hasnt had an A prospect since they drafted Jordan Staal in 06.

Panthers are now bare and completely injured so good for them for getting to the finals but there future doesn't look great.

Panthers will be ok. They have their main core signed and cap space opening up this summer to add some depth pieces. And Zito has some assets he could move if the right trade is there.
This year was expected to be their “a step back until cap space opens up ” season.

We’ll see how long the injured guys are really out for.

They'll be fine for the forseeable future. May even be fine after that as they are an semi-attractive destination (probably more so now) for FA's. cupboards are bare though and not many high end picks to be made. Gotta hit or get creative now.

It works both ways, the Sabres focus on speed and skill to the point where the GM admits the team gets bullied.

BPA in 1st round - fill needs 2nd-4th rounds - shoot for the moon in the later rounds.

Mitts going megamode certainly opens up some really interesting trade props. Can he be used to grab a guy like Cernak? Backfill him with Bertuzzi, you still have a spot for a prospects with Olofsson out of the way.

Fiala was Brock Faber. Not an A prospect.

Josh Manson was traded for your boy Drew Helleson. He isn't considered a top 15 prospects in the Ducks org.

I value these 2 more than Faber.
