What does it look like if he puts up 73? Maybe 1m less? .5m?
Would take more 1st line and 1st PP time. There's ways that could happen. Not betting on it. - Lunaion
I really don't know, and yes there are ways for him to do it. Actually hope he does put up 73, just makes us better. But he's been very inconsistent and would need to see that consistency before IMO he comes close to that. |

Mitt's putting up 73 points, where do:
Quinn
Peterka
Tuch
Skinner
Cozens
Thompson
Dahlin
end up points wise?
When was the last team that had 8 70+ point players?

Dreger also tweeted that the Sabres are getting calls on Victor Olofsson
So that’s good! |

Dreger's useless lightbulb went off so since Freddie Olofsson was traded, he'd mention there's "poking around" for "Viktor" Olofsson. |

There’s a few teams poking around the Sabres on Viktor Olofsson. Nothing close, but goal scorers normally draw attention. |

I have to wonder if Olofsson's agent is assisting.

I would think so, doesn't sound like the exit interview went well with Olofsson. |

I enjoyed watching Mitts with Tuch and Skinner. Got to see what he is capable of. Whether or not they leave him there (um, no) or find him his own "Tuch" & "Skinner" will determine what happens. |

If they don't extend him, he'll show up...contract year circa Drew Stafford |

Like the 2nd name. - Buff36
I just don’t see it. I think the Sabres are set at forward.
Can they improve the forward group? Yes, they could. But will they? Probly not
Also what ever defensemen we sign of trade for. I can imagine they will be in the 4 to 5 million range.
With Dahlin making 10, power 7, samualsson 4 million. Sabres can’t give another defensemen a decently high contract. 6-7 mill+++
That would be a large amount of cap space dedicated to the defense |

Kinda what I am thinking although I have a hard time pushing Tage down the line up. I would, however, like to see a Tage, Kulich, Greenway line just for fun. |

You keep harping on consistency here. Most scorers/point producers are inconsistent except for the super elite guys.
Cozens was over a PPG the first half of the year and ended the year well under a PPG, why isn’t this a discussion for him too? |

I don't know. That's the issue with opportunity. Looks like everyone is coming back. Anyone getting increased opportunity is coming at someone else's expense.
A lot of Mitt's 2nd half was the result of injuries, so that's probably what it would take again.

Really depends on your Cap breakdown. Sabres depending on there Forwards have quite a few 1st Contracts and ELC'S they could be rolling out. Might give you the room to put a bit more Cap space into D group. Really depends on how Adams and Company break it down. |

Cozens gets a pass because JJ and Quinn were a rollercoaster. Might not be fair.

And Cozens was playing with 2 rookies and a bunch of different players and still had 68pts.
Has Mitts shown any kind of consistency throughout his career ? |

I get it, but what it mostly boils down to is that people don’t like Mitts and probably never will, which is fine, but let’s not be disingenuous about it.
JJ and Quinn (as being EV point producers ) >>>>>> Olofsson and Jost. That’s who Mitts was primarily with when he was being “inconsistent”.
Peyton Krebs “just needs better wingers”. Yet that was never an excuse for Mittelstadt when he was struggling next to anchors. |
