Think we've agreed before, the next wave of contract extensions is significantly harder. Joker will be coming off this bridge and I'd have to think there's a lot of disagreement on him.

There's gotta be a voice saying now is a great time to move on.

There can't be anyone left there who thinks he's a top-4.

Well, there definitely *could be*

Just a hunch, but the guys who convinced KA not to go long term on VO. Hope they are gaining credibility and influence.

They definitely have his ear, that much im sure of.

I think there's quite a bit of disagreement on his long term upside

Did anything change in the last year? Someone there likes him, or it's just easier and cheaper not to make moves.

It's a shame some of the Development of these players had to go through the Stank Years. It seems some players are getting a longer leash than maybe they should be.

im fairly confident they will but it's the Sabres so that has its limitations lol

I dont think Jokiharju has that kind of value but even if he does, internally a lot of people still like him

I think with so few open roster spots for Kulich, Rosen and Rousek to crack, they probably wont add another forward this summer unless its too good to pass up.

You're probably right about Jost though

He’s a young RD who has played big minutes often enough that he’s at least able to not puke all over himself on occasion. I’d wager he has plenty of value to get a 3rd liner at a similar age.

He’d actually be a good piece to move in a potential Carter Hart trade as Philly wants and is in the process of completely overhauling their blue line

Danny Briere is an advocate for analytics and Jokiharju's are dog dookie

Theyre not that bad, just clearly overwhelmed at the minutes he got last year. The power pairing got near first pair usage at even strength.

That's probably true about his value, i just cant see them adding a 3rd liner this summer. Maybe in a Hart trade if thats the angle they choose to take.

He's been bad for 3 years and we all liked him for a minute because Alex Nylander sucked but Henri Jokiharju also sucks

I’ll call my shot now

Olofsson+ Rosen + pick 39 for Brett Pesce and a minor piece. Pesce agrees to a 6 year 33 mil extension

Think Joker would be fine if he was playing 16 min a night.

I think we need to not assume that the analytics teams use are the same we get off Twitter. I think it’s far more advanced and nuanced.

There will absolutely be a team interested in Jokiharju as a piece

He is mediocre at best at every aspect of hockey. Just incredibly milquetoast and forgettable. I see no redeeming qualities.

Terrific. I just don't want that team to be the Sabres

Not a bad call at all. Exactly 1/2 of the GM staff is familiar with his game

Think it's just easier to see the upside when he had basically the same season at 20. He's slowly lost supporters every year since.

I don't know who thought he was a good partner for Power last year. Fire him.

Idk that anyone thought he was a good fit, just that the bar wasnt high and Lyubushkin sucks.

Imagine it's getting harder and harder to find a team who dismisses analytics.
