Fair. I will rephrase. He's fine as a 6/7 like 2x cup winner and former Sabres standout Chad Ruhwedel |

Ruhwedel is actually better fwiw |

Idk that anyone thought he was a good fit, just that the bar wasnt high and Lyubushkin sucks. - Michael Ghofrani
Well, a team below the cap floor with a ton of extra draft capital opted for Lyubushkin. They punted on 1st down.

Opted is a strong word. They went for it on first down but got sacked senseless by linebackers who are all name NMC.
I dont know football was anything i said close? lmao |

If Chad Ruhwedel had to play 24 min some nights we’d want to gauge our eyes out.
I don’t think Jokiharju is good but he’s playing way above his head and with a rookie.
I think a strong team would make him look fine as a #5 |

Fair enough!! What are Jokers numbers playing 14min a night. |

Sure, if they get a real #3/4, Joker can play on the bottom pair with Stillman, Lyubushkin, Bryson, Pilut, Fitzgerald, Nelson, Ruhwedel, or Mark Pysyk. He is just not top-4 material. He's disposable and forgettable |

After 4 (maybe 5) years of top 4 usage, what does an extension look like? Part of the reason I'd run away asap.

But usage in which he wasnt good, and will likely be replaced and reduced, right? He'll get a raise but not one that would make me want to run away. Unless someone offered me better value, which is entirely possible. |

I think it’s too hard to predict what he’s going to get as of now.
I think he’s a tough call
Sabres don’t have the most durable blue line.
Dahlin routinely gets banged up and Samuelsson hasn’t played a 70 game pro season yet.
Despite what the underlyings say I trust Jokiharju way more than someone like Riley Stillman to step up in the lineup with injuries. |

Ha that’s almost how football works, it starts with the caddy leading the charge out of the dugout then after the first 100m backstroke they have a scrum. |

These are literally the Risto arguments:
"He'd be better with sheltered usage"
"He never misses a game"
"He can play more minutes if you need him to"
Except Risto actually scored and hit people. Jokiharju is a wet noodle |

Some similarities for sure. I have no idea why he'd be better on the 3rd pair, presumably taking heavier d-zone starts. |

Nelson was one of the first investors in Doge and rode it to $.72 - last I heard he bid to purchase and take BlackRock private. |

Well it's on Adams to listen and upgrade. One thing it seems, takes Adams a bit to cut ties. |

Risto did improve with less usage though. Just was never close to actually being worth his negatives.

Torts did a great job turning the tire-flipping Finn into the defensive Larry that we all never thought he could be. Credit to both Torts and Risto. But Risto had physical traits and some underlying skill.
Not trolling but genuinely asking: what about Jokiharju's game is worth investing in further? To my eye, he doesn't excel at any individual aspect of the game. |
