Fair, but is anything he said remotely surprising or difficult to believe?

lol, i dont count it as just trying if he has the deal worked out.

Again, its one thing to criticize KA for not being bold, thats fair. But if the player doesnt want to waive his no move, thats not the GMs fault. It just is what it is.

- Michael Ghofrani

No, but it's the Organizations fault for falling down the sh!t tunnel for as long as they have!

It is but the original question was does it seem like KA to take a bad deal to move up in the draft. And the answer is yes because short of a NMC, he did in fact do that.

Didn't they know going in that he had a 10 team NTC and they were on it?

I agee. He's the pick if available, which I highly doubt.

Taco had just asked if anyone would do 11 and Myers for a 3rd or something. I said 1million times yes. And then I would trade 11 and 13 to get past Washington.

It was all a dream.

Denied by the player.

Ottawa had agreed.

No Excuse!!!
Adams should have compelled him to agree.

LeBrun on Insider Trading talking if Canes can't extend Brett Pesce: "Among the teams that I am told that have already reached out on Brett Pesce, the Buffalo Sabres, who have made a priority... of going out and getting a top 4 D, they have interest in Pesce".

Are those lists public? I would assume they either didn't know or thought he'd waive.

Too bad Dreger mentioned the Oilers. Now their fan base is everywhere on twitter.

Dreger on Insider Trading says Oilers have interest in Pesce as well, but they need to create cap space which won't be easy, they also have interest in adding a "competitive, bargain" forward like Connor Brown. You could perhaps see Ceci, Foegele & Yamamoto on the move per Dreger

It was the 2 part deal that Dan just mentioned.

"Taco had just asked if anyone would do 11 and Myers for a 3rd or something. I said 1million times yes. And then I would trade 11 and 13 to get past Washington."

That feels like a lot to pull off, and assumes Michkov slides. Myers is 6m and the rumor was a retain on Murray. There's a lot more involved on this one, and another NTC.

Yeah I dont know that this specific deal would come together (I dont believe for a sec Myers would waive to come back) but in general I believe theyd be willing to take some salary if it helped them move up in the draft.

It seems like they have a clear top 10 and a big drop after so unless one of them falls to 13, they may need to move up.

All 3 of them I think. Foegele maybe they keep. But Yamamoto and Ceci for sure.

But it is an aggressive move that sounds like KA would be willing to to do

Dregs usually has a strong handle on the Canadian market. Guy doesn't know much about the American teams.

I'm sure many teams will have interest in Pesce. Sabres can afford it, with assets, cap space and rising team success in order to re-sign.

It’s the perfect fit.

He’s it. He’s the guy. If another team lands him I’ll be very disappointed

Thank you, Sabres fans are the only fanbase that accepts management/coaching trying as good enough.

Last I checked, they can't jedi mind-trick other teams into making every trade that they want (or to convince players to waive NMC)

Really comes down to the number he asks for. Cause I doubt the Sabres acquire him as a pure rental. There'd have to be a deal. But I bet EDM would do it without one.
