Given that Bertuzzi is the better player definitely Bertuzzi but would be happy with either. To tie into the above conversation, how’s this for a completely reconstructed third line:
Bertuzzi-Domi-Mantha

I wouldn't mind someone taking some sandpaper to Domi's face. Learned everything from his dad.
Best thing his dad ever did, aside from eating a lot of Probert uppercuts, was beating the poop out of that fat (frank) in Philly and knock out Ulfie. But after the Adam Burt thing, lost all respect. |

And the refs just ruin a great game with a pointless interference call. |

Seems to have been doing just fine before major surgery and didn’t come back great. That sounds like a worthy gamble for sure. Maybe the shoulder surgery fried him but maybe more time between now and the surgery and another offseason can get him back to the solid middle six player he was. - Victoro311
yeah he was 20+ goals three seasons in a row with the Wings...only 28 years old... If he was bought out I'd offer him a mill or two on a show me one year contract, fvck it might even give him two years at 2 mill per |

Lmao, doing the lords work.
Who’s everyone’s #1 free agent target?
I’m between bertuzzi or Domi.. - Brownsoldier
Orlov or Graves for me, mostly because I think LD one of our holes that is the thinnest in free agency.
Domi would be great too. I love Bertuzzi the player but I feel like he is going to be a more expensive and longer term Zucker. Great when he is available but not available often enough.
A few wild cards for me would be Toews or Paccioretty on cheap one year deals. Pac in particular, because he ended on the IR I think you can give him a min contract with bonus incentives to de-risk this season. |

I don't mind, they've been really aggressive from the start trying to win right away. I'd imagine for Canada though that has to sting. |

I dont give two fvcks about the cup in Canada. I am a diehard Penguins fan since before I can remember. I know people in my circle that want the Knights to win. I know people that have called the Knights their favorite team since their first season. My bro was a diehard Whalers fan and he didnt follow them to Carolina. He loves the Kraken and Knights.
EDIT: I actually think about the Sabres, Sharks, etc and yeah, I guess a team like the Canucks or Jets ( to lesser extent), but not because they're Canadian teams. Just teams that have been around for decades and no cups. |

I didn’t think I cared but I don’t want Vegas to win. More to do with their fans I think. They don’t deserve it. |

Doesn't have to mean you, was just musing in general that this might be a tough pill for a lot of Canadian fans to swallow. But I don't live there. |

Bertuzzi is a gamble. Has injury and consistency issues. I'd pass for what he will cost. Domi is a floater from wing to center. Not big on him long term either. Mantha is a waste of cap space.
I'd love to target Schmaltz out of AZ. He could push Rust down the lineup. Really good center/winger. |

I mean, I figure for some Canadians perhaps...but I would imagine it is for quite a few American hockey fans too..ie some Sabres, Islanders, Rangers, Philly and more fans.
Usually like 80% of a cup winning roster is Canadian players...and that fact isnt lost on anyone up here, I can guarantee you that hahaha
EDIT: 19 players on the Knights this season are Canadian |

I think domi would be a great 3rd line center. Schmaltz would be good, too.
Toews was mentioned above but I doubt he comes here.
Tons of good combinations for the bottom 6. Couple weeks away from finding out. |

Jonathan Marchessault, who turns 33 this year, wins the Conn Smythe... I don't mind it but might of went with Hill. It's funny that he and Drys tied for most goals this post season when Drys played in two less series hahah |

I’d love to replace some Dmen with graves and Scott mayfield.
Pacioretty could be a decent prove it contract on the low.
Pius Sutter my number 1 choice for 3rd line centre. Miles Wood maybe. |

I’m Canadian. If the pens don’t win then I have a list of teams to cheer against. All metro teams, Boston, Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton. Once they are all out I generally want a team who hasn’t won the cup to win. |

Happy for the Thrill, love the Thrill...but whereas the Pens probably dont win the cups without him, Vegas would of won this if he wasnt on the roster at all haha....2 assists in 4 playoff games this time. |

It's all about his presence in the room. Vegas failed without him, and Phil comes in and they win a cup. Dude's a cup magnet.
