I think domi would be a great 3rd line center. Schmaltz would be good, too.

Toews was mentioned above but I doubt he comes here.

Tons of good combinations for the bottom 6. Couple weeks away from finding out.

No interest in Toews at all.

Friday through the 30th. Granlund should be submitted early just to be safe.

Funny you guys were talking about 90's music. I saw Candlebox last night. This is supposedly their last tour. Great show. We couldn't believe how good they sounded. If you like them and they're coming to your town, I highly recommend. That dude can sing.

Does this mean Dubas will be staying in the GM role for an extended time? Or is he hiring the AGM before the GM?

His original timeline he gave when he was hired was to be the GM through the draft and free agency, then hire a GM after July. This appears on track with thatm

I wonder how they'll structure the duties if he does hire a GM. Seems like Dubas will identify the personnel they want, but maybe the GM will work the numbers and contracts?

My best guess -
Dubas runs the big picture
GM runs the day to day
The AGMs are each given specific roles within the organization to make sure everyone is always on the same page.

Spezza being hired as an Assistant GM but reporting directly to Dubas is interesting. Maybe the wording is weird given we have no GM and the reporting duties will change if/when we hire a GM.

It could also mean this GM would be familiar to Dubas and the hiring structure wouldnt mean as much. The Assistant GM in Toronto that worked under Dubas could be an interesting name.

This is accurate and honestly how things should run on most teams. Across the nhl there are all types of governance: monarchy (GMJR), dictator (Lou), democracy (seems like pens, tampa) anarchy (coyotes, lol)

I think Spezza was coming regardless so this was just the official announcement. Still think the GM will be hired in 3 weeks.

I was really hoping for some fireworks in the 3rd period last night. Kind of disappointed Florida just gave up.

They has 66 5v5 goals this playoffs, while giving up 33.

The next highest scoring team was the Panthers, scoring 41 while giving up 43.

It was not last night's game.
