Well that’ll go over well. Why can’t guys just talk hockey here. - LeftCoaster
Talking Canuck mismanagement is not taking hockey. Once Canucks become a professionally run organization, then I’ll start talking hockey again.
Until then, it’s anything but hockey. |

The team isn’t rebuilding and Miller helps them win. And yes, we know he still has trade value. I understand you want a rebuild but it will never happen so I’m not sure what the point is continually discussing it - CanuckDon
I agree with lots that you post but I am not 100 % sure on this. I mean I do think that you are right, but Petey is a top 10 player in the league and if he wants 11 mil a year?
I really like the kid, but I would not give him 11. I think they are going to keep Miller because 8 mil is going to be a good cap hit for a PPG player especially in 4 years. Look what Bratt got paid yesterday and Povorov last week. Prices are going to go way up.
I think everything is on the table if the price is right.

Well agree to disagree there. I don't think he helps the team win. He helps himself get some points, that's about all I'll give him. There's more to the game than points and he's proven over and over he has great deficiencies that end up in us getting less goals than the other team.
Yeah I mean that's kind of what it comes down to. Arguing about doing the right thing which is to rebuild, but the trump card is they just won't.
I just thought you were saying they did a great thing by signing him to the contract he has because he might get a little more now. - Sayros
Okay so you have a hate on for him and others do too. That doesn’t mean he’s not a good player and has little trade value. His second half under Coach T he was playing defensively better because there was structure to the system for him to follow. Those giveaways and sloppy play was not evident. He was scoring short handed and was play driving his line.
So you don’t like the contract okay it is what it is as norm for NHL. Can Canucks still trade him? Yes, and maybe more so now, cause they can fit a contract back with OEL bought out. Plus fit a top 4 D with JTM’s cap out as well. Let’s see if those big moves happen. |

They don’t sleep in our beds but you will find them, black lab and a chocolate lab, sleeping during the day at the end of our bed on top of the covers. The fans are on and it’s cooler for them…I guess. |

A saltwater pool in the fucking desert? Can you be more pretentious? - Marwood
It’s actually less maintenance than a chlorinated pool, and the waterfall doesn’t get stained white with the chlorine over time. It’s also easier on the skin. My wife is delicate. |

So you think Aquilini is going to authorize a rebuild? |

At some point LH decided to try his best to disrupt this page. So he’s been over the top with all this alt right BS. He had a recent rant about Trans folk and woke culture so I think one of the Mods had enough of it.
He’ll come back with such a hate on, it will be epic. Can’t wait to be honest. - bloatedmosquito
I don't always agree with his takes but he has brought up some things that opens your eyes. I like LH even though.
My days of pick a side, or getting in to the arguments are past me, and I am here to talk hockey and joke around but I also on occasion like to hear the other side of the story. Nothing is ever really black or white.

In a simple answer no.
I don't think he was thrilled about having to buy out OEL either but here we are.
I think the situation of the team is dictating the direction. They had no cap room and teams did not want our players so the situation told FA he needs to find a way to create cap. OEL
What would be the point of paying EP 11 mil and having the team still on the bubble or out of the playoffs?
My personal thought is the team will not win unless they can get rid of more dead wood but that said I think they will fix it. |

I want a rebuild but that doesn’t change the fact they will offer 11-12 mill to Petey. He will never allow management to do what is likely best, trade Hughes and Pouty |

The Canucks will waddle around in the middle thinking they’ve killed it because they made the playoffs, at some point, meanwhile, teams the are purposely rebuilding will pass them in four years & they’ll still be wonder why it hasn’t panned out for them yet. Even the Flyers have been given the ok to rebuild, which I never thought I’d see with what’s remaining of my life. |

I bet FA has looked at what happened in Seattle and Vegas and to go further Fla let a few good players go and picked up some reclamation guys like Bennett and traded for Reinhart. They let Huberdeau go and Weegar. I bet FA is taking all this in and reconsidering his options.
Again I think they will fix the team but if they are painted into a corner like the cap situation all bets are off.

He’s definitely a top ten center in the league. Why doesn’t Michael write about how great a season this kid had, from a Canucks perspective, a personal historic season. How many kids have the Canucks had like this? |
