Agreed! One year deal and flip him at the TDL, D can’t be fixed in one year. - neem55
You want to pay a one mil Dman 2.2 mil minimum that is injured. I thought the idea is to get away from bad contracts.

They took out Willander, Barlow, Benson and Wood as well. I'd take all those over Danielson. Benson will be gone absolutely though. - boonerbuck
Yeah but Danielson was at McDonalds the rest were at Arbys.

If potential players playing here listen to others instead of coming to be diffence makers then I say screw em. That is not a pro competitor or even close. If it’s a vet coming to retire on easy street for money screw em also. No passengers. - Nighthawk
You know that players consult with players all the time when considering choices. GMs ask their players to call free agents to convince them to sign. Very common. |

Wagner is clearly not endorsing that player very well - manvanfan
Wagner is the biggest idiot in Vancouver. He is such a little B!tch. He wrote an article complaining about Ferraro doing play by play for the Canucks because his wife works for the team and he might not be impartial. Ya Cheech wasn’t a homer. It’s not against the law you little B!tch. What a stupid thing to cry about. Wagner is a useless, whiney parasite |

A guy like Byram is a BC boy. I don't think he cares what Schenn said.
I really think people that don't want to play here despite what Schenn said won't play here. Swedes will play here, so will the Russians, and so will BC boys.
Not Canucks fault Schenn's wife is pregnant at TDL on his contract year. Business decision. - VANTEL
Schenn shut the (frank) up and pullout. They tried to move him early to help accommodate his wife’s pregnancy and they didn’t receive an offer they liked until the TDL. Whiney clown |

I think it was Golfing that talked about short term replacements and draft.
Some players from Calgary I would not mind going after.
Vladdy the goalie. Two years left at 2.2 frees up a possible Demko trade. Pesche and Drury?
Hanifin one year left fills OEL vacancy until PeteyD develops
Dube would make a great third line player better than Garland .

With his surgery this is highly likely. If not then maybe a 3yr team friendly. I’m banking on not overpaying RFA’s will occur. UFA D aren’t a great pool to pick out of. Decent 3C types but wouldn’t pay much. Acciari & Kamph or even Bjug. Like Vantel said placeholder type signing. Again need Garland out & either get a C or prospect. Rather have a more aggressive forecheck winger short term & let Pod grow into the role if not pencilled in & Hog push for a spot. Waiver issues will be another challenge. |

1yr at 2.2m isn’t a bad contract. RHD just get more & our problem is top 4 depth that is 2 D short. Bear should be 3 pair with a cheap partner. |

Yes they probably call around but if they listen to role players then I wouldn’t consider them. A job is a job & we need pros not fringe types without the drive to make their own statement to belong. |

My tunnel vision is on Pesce next UFA season. As for trades I just don’t know til there is more noise on rumour list availability.
Gudas if the right price on a 1 year? |

It is a bad contract when the player plays at a league minimum level.
I would rather use that salary on Dermott and you guys know how I feel about him.

Sure but he’ll most likely be on LTIR again lol.
Trade Bear could or might be an option they’ve looked into. No matter what there is bigger holes to fill it’s about the how & who. If Mgmt is prudent & doesn’t do anything this season & can wait then that imo is the best approach. Don’t see that happening but am hoping it’s going to be a key piece coming back in whatever moves are to come. |

This is where you guys lose me. You wouldn't sign Dermott on LTIR who is a better bigger defender and cost the same but sign Bear who will be LTIR?
I would sign Holl before I sign Bear. As you can tell I am not in his corner hoping for an extension. |

Nobody will rush to sign him to a quick deal at 33. He'll also be lucky to get $2,500,000 again.

There are rumors that the Carolina Hurricanes are open to trading Brett Pesce for the right price. In our eyes, Pesce is very good 2nd pairing defenseman. On the other side, his performances went down in the last two seasons. We understand why Tulsky is open to trading him |
