I like this move it tells me a lot about the SHL & his desire to improve. đź‘Ť - Nighthawk

What is it with the infatuation with Toronto players and McDonalds? - VanHockeyGuy
I had to find my comfort in the Leafs and McDs after letting go of the Habs.

You want to pay a one mil Dman 2.2 mil minimum that is injured. I thought the idea is to get away from bad contracts. - VANTEL
I want to pay him whatever the arbitrator decides and then trade him at the tdl. Or trade him now, if there’s a deal out there. Either way, get something for him as he’s played alright and should have value. I’m fine with them not signing him too, just think that this is the right move. |

No team is going to want him at 2 mil so you are stuck with him for however long the contract is.

They took out Willander, Barlow, Benson and Wood as well. I'd take all those over Danielson. Benson will be gone absolutely though. - boonerbuck
Didn’t hear Wood was interviewed, that’s interesting. I wouldn’t be shocked if Wallinder was the player picked at all. |

I really doubt you know what teams want and value players at, it’s very cute though! As a rental depth player at the tdl next year, I could see him going to a contender if he’s cheap and productive with us like last year. |

I know as much as you. I guess you have contact with all the GMs? It is very cute also.
You can't be talking about improving and resigning Bear. Oxymoron.
Any GM sitting in his office hoping that an undersized overpaid injured Dman is available at TDL should be fired on the spot. |

To be honest I only saw Wood mentioned twice with the dinner report but the other 4 are a constant. |

You'd have to think that if both Pellikka and Reinbacher go in the top 10, a player like Moore would become available. I'd be very happy with him.
I also think Willander is a better fit on the right side with QH than Pelikka who looks to be weak on D. Reinbacher will be gone by 11th 100%.... |

I’m saying whatever an arbiter decides is likely fair value contract. Then you have some time to trade him. Costs nothing on the salary to have him on LTIR. If he comes back and plays well you trade him. If not he walks next year. No harm in letting him continue to play into value. I’m not saying we keep Bear, I agree he shouldn’t be part of the long term plans. |

This is where you guys lose me. You wouldn't sign Dermott on LTIR who is a better bigger defender and cost the same but sign Bear who will be LTIR?
I would sign Holl before I sign Bear. As you can tell I am not in his corner hoping for an extension. - VANTEL
Dermott has concussion issues so not in the picture. Holl too costly. Depth D are not in abundance so comes down to need & value. So play hardball with Bear it’s the way to go. RFA is cheaper than the UFA route. |

There are rumors that the Carolina Hurricanes are open to trading Brett Pesce for the right price. In our eyes, Pesce is very good 2nd pairing defenseman. On the other side, his performances went down in the last two seasons. We understand why Tulsky is open to trading him - manvanfan
Trade for him at the right price or wait til a UFA. This years UFA pool sucks but next year could get interesting. |

Not a developmental league. Teams play it too safe as like the KHL. Too hard to get good reads on prospects potential. |

The more D taken in top 10 the better C would be available by 11OA. Conversely same if they took C you get a good D. That is why I think they know they need both and can be set by keeping the pick. That’s if a trade offer isn’t more enticing lol.
