I'd take Wood over Barlow in a heart beat. - boonerbuck
That’s definetly an interesting conversation, similar styles. What do you like more about Wood? |

They are similar but Wood is bigger and doesn't have a cheesy mustache.

Let’s skip the winger and just take the BCA Or BDA as talent wise in that range everyone is close. |

I agree. Not pushing for those two guys... just comparing. Moore or Willander works for me.

Highly unlikely based on the GM and staff interviewing him? - neem55
Based on the type of team they are trying to build. |

Wood is the hardest player to evaluate in this draft. He could be a star or a complete bust |

If only we could take both. Demko trade? |

Yes Demko for Hart and a 7th...... |

Why?
Was hoping for a 1st like the Schneider trade of old. Maybe Sabres do it? Possibly Caps? |

I agree, he’s got a bit of Benn and Rantanen to his game if he puts it all together. I like a power forward as a pick, been a while since we had one. |

Sure nice to have but big gamble which way he turns out. Would take years to develop right look at Tage. However, Canucks need to fill the big holes on D and C first. |

Agree to disagree. I think if you think you have a game changer, you pick them. I’m always supporting picking D and think they should but you need to add new elements as well. He brings a lot of what we don’t have. |

These are my favourite too. If Reinbacher was available but he won’t be. I also like simashev, but I like the gamble picks more than most. |

Freidman says Michkov won't interview with most teams so he can influence his draft position. |

Kid is a flake. I wouldn’t go near him. He is out partying shortly after his dad was murdered. Kid is covered in red flags |

Will be interesting to see how this one ages, I’m fairly sure you are out of your element once again Donny. |

What’s your prediction? We all know you will be wrong but it will be fun to point out your continued failures on everything hockey related. |

Trying to remake the D and be bigger. While also adding to draft pool. The below gives time to develop and use cap room to meet mandate of playoffs. It’s not the rebuild wish but we know that’s not happening.
If possible, trade Demko for first and draft Willander and Danielson. Then trade for Stanley would a package do? Garland gives them player who won’t bolt. Plus Rathbone and rights to Bear? Whatever works that allows Garland in the deal.
Now do the nasty and sign big UFA D. Mayfield and Graves. Add 3LC Haula good on faceoffs and PK. Can PP too. Plus Goalie to help transition in Varlamov.
Okay. Now time to howl over the spending and contracts. But look at big D:
QH Mayfield
Graves Hronek
Stanley Myers
Three centers Petey JTM Haula. |

Who replaces Demko? Silovs isn't ready yet, though he is ready for 75% + of the starts in Abby this year. Then back-up next year if he does well. |

He still looked like Myers when trying to find the puck in his feet though. |

My prediction is Michkov is #2 in the redraft down the road, comes over here and wins calder or close and keeps going from there. |

You’re the same guy that keeps saying you’d be ok with the Canucks drafting Wallander. I’m pretty sure Detroit took him 3 years ago, it’s Willander ffs. Credibility goes out the window!
