Obviously 2 Center is weak after moving Miller but the de is wayyyyyyy better. Cap room to boot. Maybe dangle the 11th overall for Hanifin but I don't think thats even close to enough.

I'm guessing they trade for an established D.

I get that these fantasy GM things are just for fun, but I think far far too much value is being put on our scrap heap. Guys like Podkolzin, Rathbone, Garland, Boeser, Hoglander are considered busts or at best reclamation projects outside of Vancouver. It's sad I know it's what there is to work with, but it's reality. Brining in valuable guys like Pesce via trade using our spare parts is pretty far reaching, IMHO.

They pretty much need to. Hopefully one still under a decent contract. The UFA market is a turd salad.

Teams were calling last year about Hogs and Rathbone but PA didn't like the return so you are wrong about none of them having value.

Half the league right now are tight against the cap so you have to get creative to make trades. This is not a Canuck thing only. I read there are at least 4 or 5 more buyouts going to happen this week and teams will be walking away from players like Bear and not qualifying them. There was 4 last week including Keifer Bellows a first round pick.
