Florida is a shitty hockey team and the Canucks are a hot Demko away from being a playoff team.

Vancouver's a small soft team with a terrible defence and no depth. There's no way they get anywhere close to what Florida did the way they look today.

You don't know what the team looks like this year.

Today Travis Green joined the NJD and not choosing Tor or Cgy. Canucks want to make a big splash and Jersey just cleared out cap space moving out Severson. Will Chris Tanev and Quinn Hughes be joining Travis again and uniting the three brothers?

I don't think this offseason is going to be like any other one for Canucks. All options are on the table and we will find out over the next three weeks.

I have no idea what the big moves will be but I do expect between 2 to 4 very big signings or trades.

Bob Mackenzie said today that he's scheduled for multiple interviews with NHL teams, where are you getting that info?
- NorthNuck

He is refusing to speak with the majority of teams. He is a flake. If the Canucks really want the risky high upside pick it should be the local kid, Matthew Wood

I'm guessing she didn't watch too much WHL hockey. These rankings are a steaming pile.

I think if someone would have asked you at the start of the year for an extended list of cup contenders, Florida wouldn't have even been top 10.

I don't actually think Canucks are just a hot streak from Demko away from making it, I think that's what the team thinks. The Pacific is getting stronger, Canucks have a lot of ground to make up. What they do with the OEL cap space is gonna go a long way to determining if they make it in.

Dhaliwal update...

Ethan Bear, Kyle Burroughs and Colin Delia updates
Canucks tidbits

Qualifying defenseman Ethan Bear before he got injured at the World Hockey Championships was never an issue, it may be now.

Bear had surgery on his shoulder last week and is out 6 months.

Sources indicate it is not a slam dunk the Canucks will qualify Bear after the NHL draft next week.

If they do not, he becomes a UFA.

Agent Jason Davidson continues to talk with the Canucks about Bear, one thing is clear, the long term injury to Bear has made his contract situation much tougher to deal with.

UFA defenseman Noah Juulsen is a player the Canucks like and they are talking to his agent about a new contract.

After a long period of no talks with UFA Kyle Burroughs agent Ross Gurney, the Canucks have reached out to Gurney and made a contract offer to the Langley native.

A heart and soul player who finally got a call from the Canucks.

The door is not 100% closed when it comes to signing UFA goalie Colin Delia but the odds of him re-signing are getting slimmer and slimmer.

I have been told - both sides are looking at different potential fits but have not ruled out a re-signing.

Canucks may be trying to see if they can upgrade on Delia but again - not a ton of money to play with.

A 1 way contract could also be an issue for the Canucks when it comes to Delia.

For some reason she still has fanboys like Mini that adore her. She told the hockey community she was done with them because the Canucks were mean. No surprise her lawsuit failed and she started trying to weasel her way back into the game after a few months of doing coke in Mexico

I'd care more if there was some effort put behind it. Her list is basically throwing darts at a wall and seeing what sticks. No wonder she got fired.
- Load Management

You know she explained the reasoning if you read the article. I'd guess you didn't read it though. I mean why would you, she doesn't know anything. Even though while most were still sucking on Benning tit, she was mocking him.

I have good sources that tell me we are going to Qualify him at 2.2 mil and trade him for a sixth round pick if he ever recovers.

OEL & Bear need to be replaced, unless they promote from within. There goes a good portion of the savings from the OEL buyout in the UFA market, probably close to the same or more via trade. What goes the other way besides the guys they've had trouble trying to offload? Put the first out there providing the return is what they want. How about Silovs ++? These guys need to be creative, there's lot's of holes to fill.

Kuzma hinting Canucks might have interet in Hanifin.

There goes another third round pick out the window. Waits for Kman.

Sure. Goaltending isn't the problem now, there's other pressing holes to fill. To get the players you want they'll have to pucker up, the Boeser's and Garland's one of our 3rd round picks won't get it done.

He's a no-brainer signing imo, 6-7 guy you want.
