In its totality, that Hronek trade was a huge win for the organization. Swapping out Bowie Horvat & a 2nd for Hronek, Beauvillier and Raty was an excellent trade, considering they want to compete. Personally I would’ve kept the picks, traded Miller, and started a youth movement, but that’s jus me.

The Canucks need cheap depth with the amount of injuries their defence goes through. He should be cheap.

I think with Bear it was not only the injury but also the freeing of cap space made it that Canucks did not have to dumpster dive this summer.

If Canucks only had 4 mil cap room then it made sense to sign bottom players like Bear. Big summer coming ahead.

I think if someone would have asked you at the start of the year for an extended list of cup contenders, Florida wouldn't have even been top 10.

I don't actually think Canucks are just a hot streak from Demko away from making it, I think that's what the team thinks. The Pacific is getting stronger, Canucks have a lot of ground to make up. What they do with the OEL cap space is gonna go a long way to determining if they make it in.

I agree, anyone who says Florida wasn’t a contender isn’t paying attention. They swapped out a soft 100+ point forward & an offensive dman for a physical dirty 100+ point forward. Forsling and Montour stepped up and filled the void left by Weegar, this was a 122 point President’s Trophy team last year.
