Why they should stay away from the UFA market, get a player in a hockey trade who's still under team control. - VanHockeyGuy
Isn't he a very good shut down guy? I didn't watch a lot of Seattle games last year and only hear his name mentioned a lot by NH. He has a plus 18 +/- and is only 28 years old, plays both sides.

Don't think it's going to happen, but my pick would be Simashev. He's usually in the 15-20 range for most mock drafts. He's huge, mean, mobile and fast, with lot's of offensive upside. Could be on the team in 2 years. Perfect time for an ELC contract in the top 4 defense. - we_are_all_canucks
100 % if we keep the pick that's my guy also.

He's a decent player with some grit, he'd be a good signing at the right price and term.

That is what I thought. He is a big boy. He is still young and if you can get that for the next five to six years because five mil this year won't mean as much in year five.
Like I said I don't know much about the guy but five or six years seems reasonable?
Seattle will probably keep him,no? |

He's getting a raise and term, they'll be plenty of bidders.

Profile for everyone who doesn't score much in their draft year.
Lots say they see Gavrikov in him. Gavrikov is not a top pairing D. 4 years to be a good #4 D. That's something you generally looking for mid to later in the first round in most drafts.

profiled near the same, is looking pretty good now.

They talk about Simashev at about 10:30 minute mark. |

I think Seattle would be nuts to let him walk.

If we could sign Soucy and a 3rd line C that's perfect |

Ice Breakers 🧊🏒 Exact timeline TBD, but #FlaPanthers are not expecting to have both Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour well into next season.
.....................................................................................
He went on a little further to suggest they should look into signing OEL. |

Ice Breakers 🧊🏒 It's not exactly a philosophical change, but #Yotes are aiming to be more competitive next season.
They're not taking on bad contracts, or trading Keller, Schmaltz or Crouse. Not big-game hunting, but Arizona is going to be adding: |

Yeah I don’t know why Krak haven’t signed him yet but he was in their plans.
Edit: Seems they have to sign Dunn so that means Soucy will be gone. I don’t know the reasoning. |

For the 3rd offseason in a row I have to say, boy the Canucks sure could use someone like Chris Tanev. |

They’d like to but he might make too much for a 5-6-7 player on the depth chart. They have other younger/cheaper RFA’s that also need new deals.
I like Soucy last year, but he’s prone to the Myers like gaffs and takes the occasional bad penalty from getting out of position. Overall a good player at the right price with a nice mix of grit and finish. |

Are they willing to take Garland back and throw us a draft pick?

Also doesn't talk about Marcus Bjork who is an RFA. Tim Berni RFA.
Jacob Christian needing waivers. 23 year old Lefty. - manvanfan

Good to know. Gives me a better idea of what we are talking about. Sounds like a smaller signing. I tough he was a Tanev comparison.
