I really don't understand the big attraction to Danielson. He looks a step down on so many other prospects that should be available. Maybe they think he's Scandinavian with that last name of his.

He's the new Cole Cassels shutting down Mcjesus

If he doesn't develop into a top notch offensive defensemen I'm still good with what we need on the back end: speed, mobility, meannesss, size and defensive prowess. Whoever we take, it needs to be a d-man with size and mobility.

What do you think the Canucks would pay now to have Gavrikov or someone equivalent?

Every time we are told they are interested in Danielson, I think maybe they are strongly considering trading down.

If 2 dmen go in the top 10, there will be a couple better C available than Danielson. If 2 dmen dont go in the top 10, then a highly ranked right shot dmen will be available.... second best obviously. I only see him an option in a trade down.

I'll start with if they pick Danielson at 11. They will most likely get an NHL player. Two clear sides to him. You either see him as one of the oldest players in the draft and he has some serious untapped potential that he might be a top 5 player in this draft or you think that as one of the oldest players you think his room for growth isn't nearly as high as many others and a mid round pick or later.

Maybe they think he's one of the closer NHL ready players to go in the top 20...

He has a mature game and at the same time you hear quite a bit of red flags from some. As what quite a few are saying sometimes scouts with their jobs on the line won't stick up for potential as much as a guy that's "going to play" like Danielson.

In Van land, they say he's comparable to Horvat. Outside of Van land I've heard comparisons to Michael McLeod and most recently Jason Richardinson.

Faber thinks Simashev is the best Dman in the draft.

It's the standard for most things. Look at corporate media... the corporations are made up of companies tied into defense industry, oil, banks, on and on and then it becomes obvious why they support every conflict the USA gets involved in and in many cases, created. Question the narrative and get fired, gagged, and blacklisted. Aggressively support the narrative more than your peers and you win awards.

When I see posts like this (because they are all over my timeline, I don't follow her) she comes across a bit like a butthurt twatwaffle.

NHL prospects scout: “The forwards I expect they will target are Dvorsky and Danielson. And defence will be Willander and maybe Simashev.” #Canucks #NHLDraft

Just seen an interesting ACGM on CF.

JTM and Garland for Dubois and Lowry.

I am not a PLD fan but I do like Lowry. It also unlocks that 7 year JTM contract.

But would Dubois sign here is the question...
