How about a actual blog on the possible players that could be at 13, a few Player Profiles. Maybe a Trade scenario or 2. |

Nah, although I wouldnt rule it out, given he used to play for the HC. Still seems unlikely though |

Ethan Bear. Half Kidding.
Will Borgen, slightly less kidding.
It would be someone in a lesser comp tier. That's criminally not utilized.
1.4m-2.1 is a 3rd
2.1m-4.2 is a 2nd
Those are loaded with good targets. - Lunaion
Too many players to choose from to do a wide blanket search, so here's who I found when searching just for RFA defensemen.
Too High:
- Dunn (8 x $8M per), Miller (7 x $6M per), Bouchard (6 x $5M per)
$2.1M to $4.2M AAV (2nd round pick):
$1.4M (and some less) to $2.1M (3rd round pick):

The question isn't about the number of good RFA offer sheet targets.
The real question is what kind of deal would need to be structured to have the current team even think twice before matching. |

I think if OTT spends a lot again to make up for losing debrincat, you could probably pry brannstrom out of there at a good number. |

Is Brannstrom worth prying away?
That's the other most important thing: is the player even worth going after?
What's a good number for Brannstrom? Probably a slight overpay and perhaps a term that gets him right to UFA status? |

Yeah he's pretty good. I dont have access to the charts and stuff but i think he's like 75th percentile in WAR |

Does a 3 year deal take him to ufa or rfa? Id do something like 3x3.5 or even 4. |

He's already had 4 qualifying seasons, so 3 more would walk him to UFA status.
Has he played anything more than bottom pair minutes so far? |

I think hockeyviz has his number at low 2nd pair usage trending up towards the end of the year.
Id still do it, walk him to ufa and all, but more likely scenario is Brannstrom is part of the deal OTT makes to replace debrincat. |

Is he worth a 3 year $4M per risk with only this past season as a good season so far in his career? |

His numbers at EV, especially defensively, look consistently good though. You wouldnt bring him in to play on the PP or PK.
At his age, 4 mil is probably worth it. Teams are going to pay a lot more for far worse in FA.
Edit: idk if you have access but his hockeyviz chart is very good. |
