My brother played for the Wild a while ago.

Wenatchee is what Silvertown in Joe Dirt was inspired from. Driving through the mountains and you end up in this little town on the side of a mountain on the river, place is sick. Plus they sold weed legally there very early on, loved visiting.

The arena is amazing too, is the BCHL team (Wild) folding or something?

They finished like 1 game out. It's a bit silly to think they dont want to make the playoffs.
- Michael Ghofrani

I'm sure the Sabres want to make the playoffs, but not quite like the fans IMO.

Management isnt going to give 3 prospects/picks for connor helly.....

Half the board would....

So would I but the scenario was who do we pick at 13, assuming no trades etc.
- SabreWest

I leave the picks up to the experts. My knowledge is limited to a few international games, write ups by guys who are about as accurate as us, Pronman and Wheeler, and some highlight reels. Seems to me, the best picks in the 7 to 15 range are usually ones that the fan base is like wtf why did we take him when Alex Nylander is still on the board.

Would you give a 2nd round pick and UPL for Ullmark?

He is a home-grown talent after all

The entire HB board doesn’t have to meet the media if it does not work out.

I don’t think that is good asset management, but upgrade the goalie position is needed. UPL made some tough saves last year, maybe Levi makes him work harder and concentrate more on improving the soft goals?

It’s easy to trade guys playing a video game, when you talk with these guys all the time and see the work they put in, it makes it a little harder (sometimes) to trade them. I’m glad half of the HB board is really good at short term trades and having like 1 shot at a cup. Asset management is one element we have been missing for a while.

I don’t know, multiple Sabres have led their teams to exciting victories in the playoffs after enduring a long drought, playing for a bad organization.

Those assets are doing great……

Checks notes.

Trading a 1st, a prospect and a 24 3rd for a player to add to the core that’s already locked up long term shortens the window to 1 year.

Got it.

Yea but you have max 1 year window……

After that Tage, Cozens, Quinn, Tuch, Dahlin, Power, Sammy and Levi start to all age out.

The goalie mentioned that is UFA. Ext season and wants a large salary and years, is for one year.

If you read the post, you will see it was talking about Hellebruk that this board would trade for. Is it worth trading 2 good assets for a single year? That’s bad roster management.

1 year of Helly to make sure Levi doesn’t get destroyed if he’s not fully ready to handle to the number 1 role.

Yea I’m in for that.

Not the worst, but if you add 2 NHL D and don't move anyone out, not sure how that works.

Keeping 3 G's is also weak.

From a fan, probably didn’t even think about the D

For the 3 assets listed, I think that’s too much. Hope they can find a better deal for a goalie that has 2-3 years left on deal.

Yes, I would trade upl and a 2nd for ullmark.

Liked him when he wore a buffalo uniform, although inconsistent for the most part.

Savoie, upl and 13 for helly is ridiculous. (No offense) just my opinion.
