Very interesting. I think the danger with someone like him is that he isn't an obvious top 4 guy. Maybe he is, I don't know. I want a serious upgrade with this move.

Wouldnt it be in your interest if the Sabres started winning earlier then?

Let's not mess up the plan though, those 2026 draft picks are going to be fire.

You wouldn't know what to do with yourself. I imagine that the posts would still be the same.

He would be an upgrade from what they have but he doesn't bring the needed grit that should be added to the d-core.

Who would you pair him with?

Well me personally I would being looking at a Rd
But Adams doesn't seem to care about that

And to be honest I was just trying to get the board back on track

Cheer up buddy
It's just hockey
Shouldn't have no effect on ur personal life

Everybody crying over last 12 years

The sabres have disappointed me for 50

But come October
I'll be sitting in my chair with the hope
This could be the year

Part of the reason they don't care about a defenseman being an RHD is the scarcity in terms of those players being available in relation to just how much they'd cost to procure in a trade. It's why drafting them is so critically vital.

That's the thing - it isn't like we are a franchise like the Cubs (pre championship) or the Lions, where there has been absolutely no winning for decades. It was an atrocious decade and the ownership deserves everything that is said about their failures... but right now is a pretty freaking fun time to be a fan of the team. I can't imagine wanting to not feel excited about where they are.

So who is the real Barbashev? He was a beast in the playoffs but I've seen posts (metrics and anectodotal) that showed how he has been a mixed back throughout his career.

This is pretty subjective.

I think the offensive talent and overall skill and a lot of the games were fun.

I don’t think missing by a point, not being able to get saves or defend well, and watching Jack Eichel win a cup as an absolute beast was really any fun at all

@AZCoyotesPR
Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that forward Zack Kassian and defenseman Patrik Nemeth have been placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of buying out their contracts.

If Barbashev asks Eichel his thoughts on Buffalo…as well as O’Rielly…who he won cups with both…what are the chances he signs there?

There’s blind hope from passionate fans and there’s reality.

In the grand scheme of things, it was a fantastic season. I don't disagree with anything that you said, but night in and night out I had a blast watching them. I think part of what is so fun is that they aren't trying to do it with a terrible style like the Islanders. For the first time in a long time, it feels like they have the right parts in place.

I must have missed where Greenway's story has been written already. The guy was pretty good down the stretch, and that was while playing hurt.
