Vegas, LA, NJ, FLA, TB, DAL, NYR, BOS, I think those are pretty easily. Location, winning, taxes etc.

Toronto is probably still ahead. Anaheim is in California and is on the upswing. Chicago is a major city, history of winning and is drafting Bedard.

Sabres are in the middle

Am I missing something ?

What’s wrong with having one of the best defensive forwards in the league on a one year term ?

Y’all are acting like we just handed Barclay Goodrow 6 years and 36M to be worse then Girgensons in the Rangers bottom 6

JFC, I am so sick of keeping bad franking players. Girgs and Okie should NOT be playing on this team at all for any reason. I don't care if they are cheap. There is a reason for that.. They suck.

Is Boston really still above us? Again, I bolded "unquestionably". That core is pretty old and I think much of it is retiring. Still above us certainly, but its not a huge jump.

Chicago and Anaheim - seriously? They are years away from competing.

Nashville's in there too, largish city, no state income tax, mild winters.

Where would you rather live in February? Buffalo or Southern California?

Best defensive forwards? I don't see it.

Problems:

1. He isn't that good at the defense
2. Does almost nothing offensively
3. Was part of a terrible PK
4. Won't be here when we are competing for the cup
5. Blocks someone else that might be

We had quality options internally to replace him

"in there", certainly. Above us? doubtful, because of the roster.

80 games, 18 points, -5 averaging 13 min a game you can literally get anyone to do that.

3/4 of our forwards couldn’t cover me in the d-zone.

Girgensons is allergic to the o-zone no doubt, but we need to have one forward line we can throw out there to shut down another teams top lines.

He insinuated that we are trading up in the draft and that something else was coming that would make us happy. I wonder if he was playing with us with the latter (which would be hilarious)

Guess we'll see if the rumor of him leaving was accurate.
