Speaking of more than one account. Where are Fitz, Pegs, beady and some other long time posters. Refereed right out of town or what. |

Not that I agree with this ranking in the mid-40's, however it does demonstrate the widely different rankings of various prospects.
Having one ranked in the teens and another in the 40's with the bulk in 20's shows the disparity. I'm not sure I saw this in previous years.
#47- Quentin Musty
His offence and consistency went to another level in the back half of the season in Sudbury. Big body, average plus skater in open ice. Not a transition threat, his best work comes from the hash marks down and around the crease. Sneaky puck skill making plays through opponents. More of a playmaker in the second half than goal scorer. Fantastic puck touch around the crease and a quick release. Detail has ranged in all three zones. Has room for more pace and drive at times, but he has top six qualities when he’s on his game. The bold makes sense considering he doesn't turn 18 for another two weeks. |

I think they're expecting more than they may get for him with his pending UFA status.
What they got last year for Tkachuk may be clouding their expectations a bit, as Tkachuk is a much better player.
With Hanifin being able to control which team he wants to sign with, it may lessen the return. |

Was talking more about him not being able to play with Anderson
Needed a defensive defenseman with him
Not groundbreaking news but if buffalo intentions are to play him dhalen or power might not be best fit |

That's not a surprise as Hanifin's charts convey that. |

No Mogilny in the HOF but Turgeon is in. what in the world does the HOF have against Mogilny?
he has all the numbers. triple crown winner, paved the way for all Russians in the NHL.
I just don't get it - hehateme
Sneaky Pete waiting as long as he did was a bit of a joke too.
More surprised Barrasso got in. |

Just a question
I know a big difference from NCAA and NHL
Wasn't powers partner at Michigan
Blankenship
Kid who plays for Columbus
And it looks like he may be made available |

Also had mono which effected the first half of the season if I’m not mistaken.
My issue is can he work on his skating and off puck game ? Is it merely an effort issue or is it between the ears ?
For the same reasons they liked Quinn, I can see them liking Barlow as well.

I really enjoyed working with you and Taco on it...wish we had more time to consider trades as I really liked your idea of trading back a few selections to try and secure a D for "right now".
It was a great exercise to go through in learning more about the prospects.
As has been mentioned on this board, there are many solid Prospects, Adams and team should be able to snag a very good player for the future.
Moving back to the late teens and being able to snag But, Wood, Musty, Hronek would be a strong strategy. |

Tkachuk also did a sign and trade. FL didn’t trade all that they did for only 1 guaranteed year of Chukky. |

It was fun, there is so much talent in the top 20 in this draft. Usually I wouldn't want to move back, gonna be a good prospect at 13. But with teams at 15 Nashville(Fabbro), 16 Calgary (Hanifin, Tanev), 18 Winnipeg (DeMelo,Dillon,Pionk)19 Chicago (Murphy) that could pose opportunities to grab 2 players with that pick. Chicago and Murphy would be my last choice, don't know if his skating and zone entries defense is good enough to warrant moving that far back. |

It wouldn't just be pick swaps to get any of the defensemen you listed above, right? It would be a pick swap and likely more? |

Well yes, but I just think there's good opportunities to help themselves. They have the assets to do it and with the swap it should lesson the blow. Just thinking outside the box, maybe get a player to help now and 1 for the future. Plus some of those players need extensions, how does that play into it. |

I agree - I wouldn't move back for Murphy. That said, do we really care about Murphy's zone entries? He isn't going to be carrying the pick if he is with Power. I'd care more about his retrievals.

Man looking around at the landscape of some Teams and the Cap situations. Gonna be some buy low candidate's out there. With contracts signed doesn't look like Adams is delving into those opportunities unless he moves a player or 2. |
