If anything, the addition of Greenway has 'blocked' one of them for competing for his spot in the next two years. I'll bounce back to Kevo's comment though.

"If they play their way into this lineup, room will be made for them".

Actions don't match those words so far, it would be a very bald move to cut/demote players at camp for some/one of the younger guys if they make a real push.

Also said he'd be excited to make no changes and roll with 3 G's again.

He's very good at GM speak.

probably because he is the GM.

There's levels. He says the same things as JB, but sounds better doing it.

So far? Did the season start and I missed it? Dammit, happens every year.

Last year the forward ranks were remarkably healthy. I can't imagine being that lucky again. The kids will get a shot.

Sounds like the Bills might be re-engaging in talks with Hopkins. Sounds like they are trying to free up another 11mill with restructures, see what happens.

Good if true - Where are you seeing this, as I don't see anything on the topic?? Inside info maybe?

I saw a report this morning that said it was down to the Pats and one other mystery team. I can't imagine a world where he would go to the Pats.

How do you figure? He was hurt a bit at the end, but I thought he was alright considering he was a late-season pickup. I don't blame them for taking a flyer on him - guys that big and that fast don't grow on trees. I think he still needs a bit of time to get Minnesota's system stank off of him.

At least Minnesota had a system. Im not sure what they expect him to be able to be here. Don says hes got a lot left to show. He was never a goal scorer. Just over a hit a game. I guess he can PK fine. I just feel they're expecting way to much of a guy that never really looks interested IMO.

For being 6'6 he looks small in his interviews. He needs to hit the gym.

Waste of a 2nd trying to fix an ex-player of don's.

Again that's fine they both had a open invitation. Also means I could see 1 know. If there was no other places to go or they would go Adams could waited and seen what's out there and signed one at a later time.

Somehow returning and doing the Sabres an organizational favor turns into a pity signing?

He seemed like a reasonable Girgs replacement. Locking in your 4th line and hoping he fits in your top 9 is an odd move. Just punting decisions another year.

Not sure what you mean by Minny's system - are you implying that we don't have one? Um, ok. Minny plays a VERY defensive system. While he didn't have good numbers there he was part of an extremely successful line before being moved.

They all look small in interviews because few of them are built like linebackers. I think it was a decent gamble. You know who else never scored anywhere? Tallness, and lots of other guys that went to college. He wasn't too far off from being a PPG at Boston U.

I wouldn't have minded if he was a Girgs replacement. Other than he cost a 2nd.

But yeah he didn't really work in the top 9 the 17 games last year. Hope he works extra hard to not be a fvckin waste of space.

Fixtures at the bottom of the lineup bother me. Sabotages your 3rd line.

I know it is a small sample size but after the trade he was projected to have 20 goals over a full season. If he can come close to that and be good on the PK (and give us some more size and speed), that's pretty good.
