You don't flip sorority houses, you maintain it (as little as required) and squeeze above market rate rent per room.

I urge people to watch Greenway's breakaway one-handed goal late in the season. He has plenty more to offer offensively.

Minnesota played Larry hockey and wanted Greenway to be a big Larry. That's not his game, although he will finish top-3 in hits among forwards for the Sabres this year. He will be an actual 2-way forward

He said he was in a position of strength with 3 goalies and it's not ideal to begin the season with 3 but he's keeping an open mind. In the same breath he said he wasn't doing his job if he wasn't trying to improve there. That's not something you say with, say, our top 3 defenders or out center core.

Regardless of goal totals the skill level between the two are worlds apart. Which was always part of my issue with not only the trade, but Granato desperately trying to fit him in the top 6.

I felt in the minority when I said I didn't like the trade. But I do agree that we should let him settle in before making judgements. I think his eye test was a little shoddier than his analytics but seeing what he can do with a proper training camp is probably the right thing to do.

At the very least, we are hopefully done bashing the 4th line wingers good at their respective jobs and we have moved on to something more relevant.

I’m on the fence about Greenway, but year two post shoulder surgery and a full training camp here and we’ll see what happens.
