The Bruins losing Bergeron and Krejci is the equivalent of us losing Tage and Cozens.
Bergeron may have had the best years of his entire career the past two years….
Like wtf - Swedish_Jesus
The Bruins are not an incompetent run organization, they will have players fill roles and as always will be very competitive.

Take 30 standing points away and they’re still a 105 point team.
Did we not learn our lesson predicting their demise like every year for the past 3 years? |

Did he really? Wow, that seems like a bad investment. I could see if it was 5 or 10 years old.

This isn't Brady that we are talking about. Even their GM said that they aren't going to be nearly the roster that they had last year. Still a top team, of course, but not a generational team. Losing Bergeron and having a tough cap is going to hurt them.

IMO I think we need to pump the brakes on Granato being some developmental genius and maybe put more stock into the fact that Krueger was all time awful and had some of these guys during crucial development years, and the fact that Covid hurt some development.
I mean, does he get negative points for not being able to develop Jokiharju, Bryson, UPL, Pilut, to a certain degree Krebs has absolutely underwhelmed idc what anyone says he hasn't eclipsed 30 points yet - sbroads24
Safe to say I saw at the least 4 sure tap ins that Girgs and Okposo didn't net.. Which would of gotten him to 30

That's my point though. If their defense and goaltending is still bottom 5, causing them to miss, nobody will care that they were 3rd in scoring. - Michael Ghofrani
I think you've brought up some very good points. 👍
I just dont see regression, if they regress, donnie should be the focal point.
Didnt the gm (top 3) give donnie a 41 year old and upl/ comrie to battle with?
He assembled a young defense, to learn and grow.
As long as they dont completely implode, donnie's safe IMO.
Closer to coach of the year candidate then being fired.

99% of my post was about their window. Have thoughts on it?
Not upset and it wasn't negative. Saying their window is sooner than some think is positive, imo. You just want to read everything I say as negative. Sometimes it's not. - Lunaion
Good post
I think the cup window starts next year, (2024-25) when our 2nd 1OA defenseman is actually a good nhl player.
Making the playoffs with such a young team would be a terrific experience. |

They have $10 in cap space to field half a team.
Good luck to them.
Best case scenario for them is mid |

Oh I get what they're doing. But if they want me/you/us to buy them a new arena, they better start winning now, not in 2027 - Hank Balling
It's such a strange situation. I don't know what to make of it. Neglect the arena for what feels like a decade and try to get a new one during/right after after a stadium?

Calgary, Winnipeg and Boston are going to be interesting storylines.
Marchand and Hall are aging, losing your 2 centers, no real prospects to speak of, no 1sts or 2nds for the next two years.. you gotta wonder what they look like within the next two years |

Calgary and Winnipeg both have players to use in meaningful moves to adjust their teams and they should be active this offseason, similarly to Buffalo the location of those cities leaves lots to be desired as a professional athlete.
Boston is going to be fine IMO, they are a well oiled machine, respected throughout the league by all involved, most importantly do not accept losing.

They gave Mitchell Miller a contract. I agree theyll be fine, but Cam Neely took it on the chin from his own players when they made this move. That doesn't go away all that quickly. |

I'm treating the Bruins like Tom Brady at this point. Every year, everyone said he was done. He even struggled a few times early, but he just never went away. The Bruins aren't done until they tear it all down.

So we’re Chicago, Anaheim, Detroit, and San Jose.
All things come to an end eventually.
My Broncos had more Super Bowl appearances then losing seasons until a few years ago. |
