Now I remember that. It wasn't that he wasn't interested - he wasn't interested in the role. They went out and got Malgin, Spezza, Boyd, Vesey and Thornton - and then told Rodrigues (who had said he was interested) that he was more willing to come and compete for a spot.

He figured he'd go where he would already have a clearly defined role.
