I think a fair trade could be Dallas1st rd (29) Colton Parayko for Hanifin. Unfortunately Parayko would block.

Parayko is from Calgary. He may accept.

Don’t hate this deal but……..
I think we may be able to get a higher 1st round pick, I see Buffalo has a ton of prospects and the 13th oa. They’ve been rumoured to be looking for a top 4 to play with Powers.

Andersson for captain!

To have a real shot I’d wait that long. We lost our superstars and the only way we’re getting any back is through the draft.
If Markstrom doesn’t rebound, we’ll be out in the first round, getting a little tired of that.
I agree with Kevin R, keep Vladar, he’s really needs a legit chance before we trade him. With so many goalies on the market, we wouldn’t get a big enough return.

Keeping Vladar and running with 3 goalies is the safest play for sure but the fact is the Flames have CAP troubles and moving Vladar is the easiest way to help this while bringing back a valued pick. There are a lot of goalies on the market but not many teams have room in their CAP to pay most of them. At 2.2 Vladar will fit into many teams CAPS and if we can get a 2nd for him I say sell.

If Seravelli is right, cap wont be an issue if both Lindholm & Backlund get moved. Sounds like neither are going to resign, Lindholm turned down a huge extension offer evidently. Fack!!!!!!!!!!! The rebuild has been forced upon us. Thank Christ Treliving is fcking gone, what a mess he's left us in. I wonder if he does the same asset management with Boston pizza.

Hannifin definately wont be resigning. Reports are Lindholm rejected the Flames offer, Backlund leaning towards not resigning..... what do you do? Wait and hope or make some moves before the start of the season or draft?

More bad news:
DailyFaceoff’s Frank Seravalli reports that Toffoli “plans on not re-signing in Calgary,” and Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman adds “Calgary has made [Toffoli] available for trade.”

Definitely time for a rebuild, bring up the young players, sell and get some draft picks. Hopefully Huberdeau has a bounce back year and a contender will take his contract at TDL

Blow it up for prospects and picks...hopefully the Flames will be good at about time the new arena is built. The Huberdeau, Kadri, Markstrom contracts are pretty irrelevant now.
