Exactly right. I am interested in their future, but at this point it is not the only thing on their radar. The immediate success matters because it's there for the taking.

I honestly love the position they are in. No one could have asked to be in a better position 2 years ago.

For some reason alot of people don't want to admit it's time to stop waiting for picks and prospects. Id have loved it if they traded for toffoli

It'll be unforgivable if they don't upgrade here in the next few days

I agree with Lunaion that this may put additional pressure on them to make a move or moves to improve their defense, which would be a good thing.

I think Ostlund is the guy that gets cooked. Its one too many forwards now.

Saturday is the start of free agency. By Monday we'll know if Adams cares about this year.

Remember when we " STOLE" Grigorenko ? everyone went crazy.
- SABRES 89

Whataboutism, Grigorenko has nothing to do with what Zach Benson is as a forward

That's it, he's a good pick, but the work Adams needs to do hasn't changed 1 bit.
- Buff36

yep - Adams has to know he needs a 4D. Also has chips to trade in Oloffson, joker, maybe Miits (though I want to keep Mitts).

My Guess: he trades Oloffson and UPL, signs a UFA goalie (Korpisalo) and trades for a 4D. Jost isn't qualified and he sgns a sneaky good forward, though I have no lsue whom. Comrie is ent to Rochester, if hes claimed, so what

I believe in Ostlund more long term then I do either of Rosen or Savoie.

Was the plan from last season get one more high end player

Listening to him talk this year he pretty much said that

Everyone said Savoie should’ve been a top 5-6 pick (I agreed) and he then got outplayed in the WHL playoffs by Benson who then went 13th but should’ve went top 5.

Next year he will get outplayed by Chadley McBraydster who will then go 20th to the Sabres

Because everyone in their system will be here? As many on here like to say, they ALL won't make the NHL. You take the consensus bpa there. He was a top ten in several mocks. Just because you may have a couple other prospects like him, you don't pass on that type of skill.
- Powerslave

And you’re guaranteeing there won’t be anyone big and nasty. Take a look at this. See anything in common?

I couldn’t give a poop about the pick if I’m being honest.

What Adam’s does in the next 2 weeks is what truly matters.

As other have said. Nothing has changed.
